it has to be Curtly Ambrose.... great track record in both formats... enough longevity .... nasty,,,,,   Mcgrath relied a great on Warne  than Ambrose on Walsh... So it has to be Ambrose....

What was so special about McGrath's bowling? I struggle to understand how he dominated even in Asia bowling at 130ks. Don't tell me about line and length, many bowlers have accurate line and length. I just think batsmen of that era paid too much respect to McGrath. He would have struggled bowling in this era.

Not that simple. He made subtle changes in line and length without any seam movement or pace to get batsmen out. Just look at the over he bowled to Nasser Hussain in the video I posted above, he made a very slight change in line (bowled slightly closer to off stump) and a very slight change in length (bowled slightly shorter) with the last ball. Hussain came forward thinking it was a fuller delivery but got surprised by the bounce and misread the line too by edging the ball.
