Turning_track Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 (edited) In WWF , IMO attitude era was the best. Interesting plots , very good story lines & the viewers went on with it. Stone Cold & The Rock were just awesome, attracted huge crowd, terrific with the mic & inside the ring it looked as if they were gonna kill each other. Nothing comes close to those days. Cricketics Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 I remember watching Bret HART win the royal rumble with I think lex luger. They both fell of the ring and were decided joint winners in the end. That was epic.

The characters, and gimmicks adopted my wrestlers, not to mention the quality of wrestling overall was much better in the late 90s to mid 00s. The Rock was my fav back them because of his on screen charisma and stage presence as well as his phenomenal mic skills. Gollum and SK_IH 2

Even ruthless aggression was good till about 2005, then it all went downhill for me in so far as Wrestling goes. Fav segment would be the Kane-Undertaker storyline and Vince McM-SCSA fued, The Rock vs HHH title wars Gollum 1

Support cast more than made up for it, the likes of Miz and R-Truth. But yeah attitude era will always remain the gold standard.

Listen to the Pop, the walk and little nod before entering the ring and the way austin and hunter pose outside classic. this is kane return. The best one. JR tells Stephanie ' get over here' and then paul bearer walks out then the pop. lol Batista ( he was world heavyweight champ and cena was wwe champ in RAW at same time lolz.. this is when he made his return. Mark Henry put him out this is his beat down of mark henry). He calls mark henry out and brings the mic near and Marks music hits and the mike throw with JBL commentry.. an other gold. brock return beast back home in 2012 lol the pop it was not even a surprise. lol Raven vs Kane vs Bigshow falls count anywhere , hehe commentary is gold. Raven should get a medal for showing up apparently.. and a random match from attitude era.. big show pissed off at hardy boyz enters wrong room lol, what were they doing inside one wonders Austin visits macmohan in the hospital. this was rock backstage segment when he was a baby face hehe And the best stable Rocks Nation. maniac Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 I have not followed wrestling since 1998-1999 but did catch it here and there when someone was watching till may be the early 2000's. However I did watch the 2018 royal rumble live in Philadelphia in the arena because one of my friends is/was a still huge fan and had extra ticket. obviously I wanted to experience it live as well. Got to say WWE is a global juggernaut. Their production values and how they organized things is top notch. watching along with with so many hardcore and rabid fans was an experience/thrill of a life time especially in a city where the crowds for any sporting event have a notorious reputation of being rude and abusive. Most guys I grew up watching have probably retired/died and I didn't recognize at least 95% of the names that wrestle today. Also they have a women royal rumble tournament now which was 'Fun" Having said that it still was an experience/thrill of a lifetime. If I get cheap tickets or even better free , I will absolutely go watch again. Gollum 1
