Virat Kohli, quo vadis???

T20s are more about packing as many match winners as you can per availability/form in your 11; therefore below is how an Ind 11 should be atm:

Agarwal

Kishan

KL

Samson

SKY

Hardik (vc)

Tewatia/X

Saini/Bhuvi/Natarajan

Shami

Bumrah (c)

Chahal or R Chahar

We do not need the old fashioned batsmen who take 20 balls to get started, hoping to catch up on the SR towards the end (more often than not, they do not make it)

From the perspective of India in T20s , do we need Virat Kohli as a captain?

Do we even need him in the squad?

I can't see one good reason to keep him in the T20 Indian squad. Hasn't amounted to much with the bat, except that one 100 this IPL. He is already 32.

Shambolic captaincy. Okayish fielding thus far.

If ICF and social media are to be believed, he is a highly vindictive and toxic individual in the dressing room.

Just one of Dhawan/ Kohli / Rohit Sharma should play for India in T20s. At current form, it has to be Dhawan.

Discuss....

Kohli is a different beast while playing T20s for India. His captaincy decisions maybe questioned but his place in the squad is beyond question. This is a ridiculous post.

his captaincy itself isn't that bad, IF other checks and balances are in place.

Selectors who can stand up to him, Coach with enough self respect who isn't just a hype man can make captain kohli work for the team. Unfortunately there aren't any

But he surely can't be kept out can he? Once we are in a pickle against a strong side he is the first name that comes to mind.

Kohli's T20I strike rate is better than Agarwal, Kishan, Samson.

We need to put some younger players with a younger captain at charge. The only name I can come up with is HaPa. more than a decade ago, Dravid convinced the other two greats to step down from t20 and leave it to youth and we won the cup. At that time, Dravid was 34. Kohli is 32 and not performing upto mark in t20s. rohit is 34 dhwan 35. make pandya captain and leave a set of youngsters with him

I am worried about next captain hope it's not KL .  They Should give captaincy to some tough lads not meek characters whom Kohli bully and they still go ga ga about him. SKY and Rana 2 players who have gangsta attitude and have already embarrassed Kohli while he tried to bully them.

Pandya is already established can maek him captain and add sky and rana and other youngsters that are doing well now. anyone over the age of 30 should be avoided
