Trichromatic Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Even if Aussies get 60-70 runs least, all they will need is another 150-170 in 2nd inning. Aussies are likely to get 80-100 runs lead and score 250+ in 2nd inning. 340-350 would be impossible to chase. Draw is out of equation now. Can't see this batting chasing anything above 170. sandsaims and Nikola 1 1
GolGappe Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Hopefully win toss in Gabba and put a decent first innings total. It's nearly impossible to win a test match against Australia in Australia after losing the toss. What happened in last test was a miracle
Number Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 (edited) The game was lost yesterday in the last 20 overs when we surrendered the momentum. Was always going to be tough against fresh bowlers. Edited January 9, 2021 by Number asterix, sandsaims and RAZPOR 3

ThirtyD. Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 What the * was the point of Pujara’s blockathon? I understand 50 odd score looks good from an individual perspective but from teams perspective he had denied scoring opportunity for 150 odd balls, which meant that the moment he got out all the heavy scoring was to be done by our feeble lower order . Why haven’t the team management altered Pujara’s approach as it hurts teams chances? I know it sounds ironic to be blaming the highest scorer of this innings but it means nothing when Australia gains a lead of 100+ sandsaims, RAZPOR, Banton and 1 other 4
Nikhil_cric Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 It was delusional for anyone to think India could win after conceding 338. All thus talk if intent is hogwash. We would have lost wickets even quicker. zen 1

Batted first, scored 200+ and destroyed them completely to gain critical first innings lead. My
jf1gp_1 Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 I miss Virat the batsman, he would have taken us past aussie score on this track. AuxiliA, express bowling and Stan AF 3

Ankit_sharma03 Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 u cant bat at 28 s/r after playing 175 balls on such a good wkt, understandable till 100 balls but then pick up the momentum

I m sick and tired of hearing "He is tiring out the bowlers " Edited January 9, 2021 by Frustrated
zen Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Ind basically relies on Pujara (consistent holding an end up) and Gill (in form) .... others appear to be good for 20-30s (and one big inning in a series) Banton and nevada 1 1
