Ravi Shastri: "We play Rishabh Pant overseas because he's a matchwinner"

Recommended Posts

What bs! You don't bench your match winner just because it's a home game. If Pant were Australian, he would be an automatic selection for every game. Can't believe the ordeal he has been put through by this sorry excuse of a TM! Even today, had he got out after Thakur did, he would have been again criticized and ridiculed like the biggest villain. Pant's crime is that he is not MSD. That selfish, self obsessed prick should have retired after WC19 and spoken positively about Pant. If not for covid, the jerk would have stunk up another world cup for us.

That means Saha gonna play at home again??

That is the worrying part . So in India again he will be dropped ? Idiot-  you talk about how TM  will facilitate his WK skills  vs spin , thats the one area which needs to be taken care of .

What as a coach he is going to plan ? Why he is not talking about it ?

This joke of a TM - Shastri, Kohli, that buffoon MSK Prasad and batting coach Vikram Rathour, they did everything they could do totally destroy Pant, Credit to his own mental fortitude for not giving up and keeping the faith in his abilities.

What Shastri needed to do was to apologise to Pant live on TV and not give some BS soundbites

Don't blame MSK, he could only get the horse to the trough. Blame Kohli, the prick who made you

go WTF! about his selection/non selection more often than he won matches for India.

pant right now is younger than dhoni when he made test debut. He is on upward trajectory in his career and will definitely improve his keeping with enough practice..

remember that even Dhoni at his peak had only 66% catching rate against spinners.. in comparison pant now has 48%. he can definitely reach dhoni level with enough practice against ashwin and jadeja. besides we are strong af at home anyways, so a couple of drops wouldn't really affect the match results.
