How does one become a a "great" player in 29 test matches ? No wonder even little success gets into the head of this clowns. And this is coming from a sane voice like Inzi. When Martin Crowe wrote his "Fab 4" article, Kohli played only 29 matches and hit 6 100s averaging 39. Even Smith only scored 4 100s and averaged 40. Kane played most matches 34 and scored 7 hundreds and still had 40 avg. At 30 matches, Babar already has better average than 3 batsmen in fab 4.. so its not preposterous to assume that he is on path to greatness. He could still fail, mind you. The same Babar who raised white flag even before a single was bowled in NZ. He knew he'd have been paraded naked if the team lost under his captaincy.

deathmonger Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 (edited) tbh babar is a pretty decent player but they overhype him cause he's the best they got. i see him having a decent career similar to someone like mohammed yousuf. will average 4-5 less as it is a tougher era for batting. should retire with a career average of 46-47 in both formats (might maintain the 50 average if he keeps playing zimbabwe/wi/sl a lot though ). he averages 45 in odis against the top 5 and 43 in tests.
