Yes & much like Pant he should've at least been tried a regular in LO by now! After 2017 CT both Pant, kishan should've replaced Yuvraj & Dhongi in their slots - of course captain faithful being a lapdog of his former "leader" just couldn't let go

I do not think Jadhav ever performed consistently in IPL also whereas SKY has been a consistent top performer for last 3 seasons

As I said all the best to him. Hope he surprises me. Sure, he looks like that dude with attitude and all that fluff but just don’t see it.

 

Look at his body language in today’s game for example.I remember the poster maniac saying saying something about a certain Parwinder Awana who played one international game and then probably never even played IPL after that based on his body language in the biggest stage. 

 

 Except that one good innings against RCB don’t seem to recollect that must watch SKY innings. I mean even Saurabh Tiwary,Manoj Tiwary etc have such knocks and Jadhav has done well and let’s not even talk about IPL legends DK and Rayudu. No shame in comparing with them though the last 3 names did have more than a reasonable career that most would kill for.

 

Just looks a very mediocre journeyman first class level cricketer: maybe that Mumbai Indian unit makes him look better than he is and gets him the hype. Don’t know but sad that some potential ATG level talent is losing out because of this hype we create around these FC level cricketers. 
 

Once again good luck to him though. Would love to be proven wrong like with  Dube,Jadhav etc.

Jadhav was not picked in his prime,he was lighting up the charts in Vijay Hazare and Ranji's circa 2010-2015 and should have gone to 2015 World Cup instead of Rahane,we missed the boat and picked him when he was past it.

 

Hope we dont make the same mistake with SKY and give him opportunities to win us something in his prime

It's too early to say that IMO. SKY hasn't even batted yet. Jadhav actually had a good start but age caught up with him and he became highly ineffective. Will SKY achieve the initial success of Jadhav or will he struggle to get going? We don't know at this time. Kishan, though a newcomer, had a smashing debut but he has the LHB advantage which SKY lacks. Let's see how it goes.

He’ll do alright if he plays his brand of normal cricket. He is a very difficult guy to bowl to once he sets in.

I thought SKY was worth a look in 3-4 years back and finally hes in the squad now,but do think he could prove to be a touch below international quality so I get where OP is coming from and I think the comparison with Jadhav is apt who was also not a bad player . Let's see how this goes .
