SKY and Prasidh are very good picks. Will keep asking this question though, what do we gain by playing/picking all the three seniors together?

 

Is King Clown totally blind to the fact that we have lost ODI series in Aus and NZ?

Shaw should have been selected instead of Krunal. Really cant find any reason behind selecting Krunal Pandya.

Gill, SKY, KL and Pant must all get atleast 2 games.

It's all about preparation for WC and getting the bench ready. Kohli should have sat out and Dhawan should be there in the bench as a backup only. That would have freed up space for Shaw and Gill to get a run.

 

And Krunal should not have been there. He is only getting nearer to the team because having the Mumbai Indians label.

10 overs from Pandya each match, no cover for any of the other bowlers,you might be able to get away with that in 20 overs but not in ODIs against a side like England.Also fans must temper their expectations from Pant,you cant expect him to bear the burden of wicket keeping in all formats and also play a Yuvraj Singh like role in ODIs,let him express himself at the top of the order or at the death.

Regarding Pant, I am not a big fan of him keeping in T20s. One or both of Kishaan and KL going to play anyways and that should give Pant a break from keeping and let the keeping load be distributed.

 

Regarding Hardik playing as 5th bolwer, there are inherrent risks but Hardik has to be more consistent to play him as a batsman who can can bowl 4-5 overs specially when we don't have anybody else who can complement him. He showed some signs in Australia but can he do thag over a longer stretch?  Sundar can be that second guy eventually in ODI game but he is not proven enough yet for this format and Jadeja is out. As a result its a difficult choice between 5 bowlers or a half batsman-halfbowler.

This ODI series has no significance, India already qualified for WC, IPL coming up and these babus still getting picked.

 

And if Krunal getting selected off a good VH tournament, then whose d **k do Shaw and Padikkal need to suck?

Krunnal is selected as an All rounder and Possibly he competes with washington and Jaddu in the Team 11. May be 2 out of the three may play in the 11 too.

Shaw and Padikkal are batsman and Probably they could have been picked ahead of Shikhar dhawan. BUt shikhar has always done well in ODI"s.

on current form KL rahul should also not be Picked But he can get back in form any day and that's the reason he is picked.

true bowling looks weak specially against those england power house it can get badly exposed
