World cup should not be the only yard stick to measure greatness. Malcolm Marshall did not win world cup does it make him any lesser bowler. He is still considered the greatest fast bowler  by many.

Neither is Steyn and he shits on almost all bowlers barring maybe Marshall.

Being world number 1 in tests is far greater than winning a tournament like WC unless ofcourse you are a casual fan.

For casuals only thing that matters is WC. Omg India. World cup only. Best only. England. Greatest team only. Wwaaaw. They couldn't even 'win' the final.

WC is team effort.

England's WC win ranks amongst the worst in history, along with Pakistan 92.

3 defeats in the group stages and a draw in the final to win. Only the Pakistani in 92 won with such objectively bad overall performances.

And the pitches went from decently fair to absolute roads for the rest of the group stage once Sri Lanka beat England to put them on the cusp of being eliminated.  Wonder why that happened?

A bit of swing and seam or even a hint of spin and they'll be dead ducks but they dont need to worry for that coz 80 percent of the pitches are flat nowadays .

Gone are the days of reverse swing, grip and turn with the old ball .

But they are entertaining for sure, I like watching them bat
