I'm pretty sure the ICF lynch mob would've been ready with their pitch forks had we lost this series demanding resignations and what not.

It was actually pretty refreshing today. Aimed for 360-370, failed and ended up with 330. But as you say, only if management learns.

It's never good to lose a series at home.  It'd have 3 back to back ODI series defeats no thanks...  We lost ODI series in Aus nobody cared that much.  Losing at home stings.

I mean they didn't have Root who plays a very vital role in their lineup. Could have certainly ruled out a game 1 type collapse

It is neither a JAMODI nor a make or break series 

 

It gives me great pleasure that we have won 5 of the 6 multi-format series against Australia and England in the last few months.

 

Defeating England in all 3 formats is very satisfying.

 

But the test series wins carry more meaning for me. 

 

My main interest in these bilateral LOIs still remains regarding whether we have tried to develop as many promising youngsters as possible.  And we have done it only partially.

Their approach is vindicated, once Rohit and Kohli realize that they have decent batting to follow , they will change their approach too. It does not happen overnight, it takes time to adjust for them also. , SKY looks like a real deal he should number 3 in T20 world cup.I wish he could have played in odis.
