@zen what day is it for you now? How many days have elapsed since you contracted this virus?

I got positive result on May 21 but have been sick due to various factors, which may include COVID, since the beginning of May

Covid does not linger that long. 12 to 14 days are critical and you should be ok after that time period. How are you feeling personally? You feel better?

Take care and rest a lot. Stay hydrated and be positive.

After I started taking antibiotics for pneumonia, I am feeling better ... though still afraid to lie down flat normally on the bed as it can trigger an uncontrollable attack that can shake the internals

I am a positive person. As I talked in the OP - “no matter what you do, covid gets you” so it is about taking this on the chin and fighting it out

One positive is that I have lost considerable weight, which would have taken some exercise time in general. I look more sharp now - every time I look at myself in the mirror, I am impressed. I tell my self - “bidoo, covid mein bhi akdum jhakas dikhte ho” :yess:

^ good to hear that you have reached a stage where you are looking at positives of Covid. Hopefully you will be declared covid negative soon.

Ever since I started taking antibiotics (for pneumonia), I have felt good ... Now only a few days tablets remain. So hopefully, I would not need more medication (not sure if doctor will give more antibiotics) and body would have developed enough immunity to triumph over COVID too

When you fully recover, bench press, squats, dumb-bells.

Update -> 2 more days to go before the isolation ends (hopefully, there is no relapse)

For those interested in medication that I took:

For Covid, only over the counter medicines to control fever, cough, aches, etc. None since I started taking pneumonia antibiotics

For Pneumonia, antibiotics (7 days, out of it now)

Currently, only using an inhaler & cough syrup. Temp is remaining around 97-98F

Because of the symptoms, medicines & isolation, one side effect appears to be anger. I find myself getting angry for no reason at times :((

A rough guide to managing COVID (based on my experience):

a) Monitor for symptoms. A casual dry cough can be a warning sign

b) When you suspect COVID, immediately get tested and isolate

c) Continue to isolate for 12-14 days (if a positive test result)

d) Do not panic. Fever up to 103F, internals shaking cough, tiredness, chills, etc. are part of the symptoms (nothing unusual and when you get COVID, you have to take it on the chin and fight it out)

e) You will have some shortness of breath as well and some difficulty breathing, again nothing to panic here. It is COVID doing its job

f) Use over the counter medications to control symptoms

g) Monitor for pneumonia (similar symptoms including chills but now you would have mucus in cough, even with blood)

h) If pneumonia, call doctor immediately as things can get complicated (you need medication for bacterial pneumonia)

i) Rest, rest and rest (because of fatigue, you will not be able to do much anyways)

j) Keep hydrated

When to go to hospital (avoid it if possible as you could pick up something else and to leave space for more serious cases)

a) If you have serious breathing problems

b) If you feel you require external assistance to breathe

Always consult with your doctor.

Hope this helps. And once again, do not panic

Delta variant could spark a 4th wave in Canada ... 2 doses of vaccine appears to be the way to go
