We are the number 1 in those countries who haven't won gold :woot:

Another way to look at it is that people who reached 5 medals or less have at least 1 gold, so it's disappointing we couldn't finish on gold at least once

Had to work through the morning. :((

Saw the highlights of all the goals on the news. Goosebumps inducing stuff.

Women's hockey bronze medal match against Great Britain, tomorrow morning, 07:00 IST

Impossible to match the drama, thrill, quality of today's match but hope result is similar.

That is a sport?

Tough sport yam. One must walk, not run.

Disqualification rules:

1. At any point of time if both feet are in the air simultaneously........imagine they have to walk at that pace and one foot should always be on the ground, for the entire 20km.

2. The leading knee must not bend until it passes under the centre of the body

Failure to comply with these rules leads to automatic disqualification. Seen heartbreaking moments in this sport where leading walker falters in the last stretch of the race. Imagine leading for 19.5 km and then disqualified because one of the jury members thinks you bent your knee a bit earlier than you should have. No video referral as well.

Form, technique, composure very important apart from other athletic attributes.

Indeed there are stupid events in Olympics, but this is not one of them.

Perhaps another way to look at it is bask vicariously in the glory of our Hockey team for now. They've won after 40+ years and weren't rated for a podium finish.

We can get back to dissecting the data and being critical after a few days. :dontknow:

Last time at Rio, two of our walkers were disqualified :((. Thankfully no such case this time, though the timings could have been slightly better.
