Predict result of the next 3 matches - Headingley, The Oval & Old Trafford

Headingley test is going to be a cracking game.   Crowd would get into the game for sure.  This Could go either way I reckon.

We haven't played there since 2002.  We haven't won a lot of LOIs there in recent times as well.

As the deadwood of Kohli Pujju & Rahane still there anyone expecting a cake walk is delusional.

We are 100% winning Oval test.

I think Saqib Mahmood will get a chance next match, Haseeb Hameed looks like a hopeless player, they should replace him. Never thought their would be a day when ICFers would be busy making a 11 for opposition (England) to make it a competitive series.

Middle order won't **** the bed every time from here.  And "Jimmie" is going to pull up lame soon just like Broad.  One of these test matches is going to allow the Indian middle order to feast and grind the England 'attack' into dust.

oh, and if Rohit manages to go 'brohit' finally in an away test match? on a sunny day on a flattish track?

Mayhem.  And we are all going to be here for it.

I disagree. The batting line up is due one collapse. This is their homeground. And I expect them to risk green tracks to win at least one. But I am hopeful that india will win the series. Not even draw, but 2-1 or 3-1. Would be very sirprised that eng dont pull one back. That would be one of the finest ever test performance for india, if we are unbeaten over the course of 5 matches.

Another prediction: Kohli may score crucial runs ..40s and 70s or fail in a few, but he wont score any hundred. He is throwing his wicket away and lost the penchant to build a innings.

India need to seize the tiger by the tail and crush it when they are top. With some key players missing this England team has glaring weaknesses. If we win the next test, it will go a long way in winning the series. The manner in which England lost this one gives me hope. They have to be psychologically crushed, but we came back from 36 all out. The Indian team has a lot of resiliency which is very much unlike the past. Does England have the same. Time will tell.

Mrs Kohli was having a baby. In hindsight that child gave India the series win in Australia.

Sure, but any 'green track' that our batting collapses on, theirs will too.  Thats the insurmountable problem for England.

England gonna make changes next test onwards & our batting is still majorly mediocre. So, I think India's overall performance in the series will depend on bowler's fitness. I say the series will still be a close one & will decided at Menchester only.

We ll have an upper hand till they find answer to their batting.

They have started looking at vince, malan add pope . That will be their last throw of dice if those guys dnt click then they have nothing to look at in batting far far away.

I am not convinced by our batters at all ,it was a once in a blue moon performance from the tail which saved us ,I don't expect the same every time .

England can easily win 2 of the remaining 3 matches

What convinces u about england batting ??

Our openers are in form

Pant is a better test batsman then butler

As of now they just have root , unless they find players around him to score their problems are much more deeper.

Vince is a quality stroke player with amazing gift of timing..  He is like their version of SKY.  All they need is someone to stand up with Root.

I seriously fear we will squander the advantage by playing Pujara again.

Both Malan & Vince are no world beaters but they are miles better than Sibley, so they will definitely make a positive impact. I repeat India's destiny in the series lies in the fitness of their 4 seamers because Indian batting is capable of a collapse similar to England's on last day.

Although we have played only 6 tests at Headingley, our record there is not that bad. We have 2 wins and 3 losses. Last loss was in 1967. England had a batting lineup of Edrich, Boycott, Barrington, Graveney and D Oliveira. The present lineup only has Root.

Bro vince is a can fodder. He is nothing special. I have sene him get blown apart in australia. He is bad vs bounce. You don't want that vs this indian bowling attack. The way they are bowling it seems like they wouldn't hesitate to take your head off if they can't get you out. I love that.

They all have similar FC performances averaging 38-40. Vince, Malan, Sibley, Lawrence etc. Zak Crawly is worse.

Nope he is extremely gifted..  Much better than strokeless wonders like Burns Sibley.

He has had issues with previous management as they didn't backed him enough.  He was decent in Ashes...  Scored a 80 odd in Gabba I guess & got run out.

He is often guilty of throwing away the starts but still better than their current bats.

that was a great batting lineup. especially the criminally underrated barrington - stonewaller supreme as he should be called.

I think we will lose in Headingley, win in Oval, and Old Trafford could go either way. Our batting is very weak, so is Eng - but they have a batsman in incandescent form.

Was he underrated in his time? Has a stellar record though.
