With no DRS, the series should not have an official status. IIRC ICC had mandated minimum standards of DRS (ultra edge and ball tracking) for all T20Is.

 

Most likely PCB is struggling to make ay money out of this series and hence trying to cut corners.

why don't these fakirs have ICC approved drs crews of their own? I refuse to believe that the entire roster of eligible DRS crews has been hired up by the IPL.  

 

Its obvious that the PCB half-assed the planning, waited till the last minute and the cheaper crews are booked, but they can't afford or don't want to pay for the available crews.  Especially given a lot of rational folks would think 5 times before accepting a short-term work gig in the "pure land".  Even if they say yes, they will quote a proper premium for their services, considering the risks involved.

 

Solution: Blame India.  That Chooran sells consistently well in the land of the slaves of the jernails.

India doesn't have a DRS crew of their own either. Difference is, they are paying 4 times the money pakistan was offering 

 

Also you cannot have local crews because otherwise there will be accusation of DRS tampering.

This series will not count towards ICC ODI super league due to no DRS.

Another blow for Pak: this series won’t be counted as part of WC qualification coz of lack of DRS.. now they can’t get easy super league points against NZ C. But a positive is that these games will be played as part of NZ’s 2022-23 tour of Pak, so more home games for them

All teams are going through ODI super league to qualify for WC. Its the ODI equivalent of WTC. Top 8 teams qualify and others will need to play associates

 

Only india doesnt need to, as we are the host this time so automatically qualify for top 8

They should use the umpire review system without hawkeye and snicko which was trialed in one of the CT's more than 10 years ago. that will be fun.
