Who should be India's backup test keeper?

Pant has been playing non-stop cricket since last December and it's imperative he is rested at some point (also important considering the bubble fatigue which might set in). In his absence, who can be India's backup keeper option reliable enough in Tests?

During Dhoni's time we were blessed with decent options like Saha, Parthiv and DK but now other than a 37 year old Saha, I don't see anyone.

Ishan Kishan..  I was impressed with his glove work in Sri lanka & was flawless.

Also we need a dynamic batsman in lower order.  He has a lot of young de kock in his batting. Perfect back up option for Pant.

Ishan Kishan's FC avg is decent (41) for a backup keeper.

But K Bharat is supposed to be superior keeper and has A tour experience too, so I don't mind him either as a backup

KS Bharat needs performances in a few televised games to up his chances. With Kishan rising fast in LOIs, he could soon be the preferred choice in tests as well.

India A tour to SA in November could be his opportunity with both Pant and Kishan likely to be busy in the LOI series vs NZ.

Bharat since he has been groomed for the job. Kishan is a wildcard pick, but first let him focus on white ball cricket, still very young and his time will come.

Ks bharat is absolutely crap against pace.. but very good against spin.. though most Indian batsmen are..even saha.. we realistically should promote kishan..

If we want to maintain the current playing 11 combo of 5 bowlers including 2 all-rounders, it is important that we have a keeper who can bat in the top 6

Rahul and Kishan would be the front-runners then.  We must look to develop them.

Rahul isnt a Test keeper.More like what Dravid used to do for team balance in ODIs.

Rahul has kept in a test match before...  He kept wickets in 2015 SL tour in 2nd test when Saha got injured.  Shockingly his glove work was amazing.  So contrary to popular belief he can keep well in tests as well.

Upendra Yadav was the most impressive young wk batsman in the last domestic season. Very highly rated. Can see him breaking into the A team and take Bharath's place sooner than later, much better batter

Is he a thrasher like pant and kishan? Hope we get test match grade wk batsmen like Sanga.
