In the wake of the massive spike in recent J&K killings voices to boycott T20 cricket game against Pak grow louder : #Boycott Pak cricket trends at the top. Where do you stand ??

On the one hand, I want Pak thoroughly trounced and humiliated so that the ONLY "potential" source of happiness for the Green awam is also denied.

 

On the other hand, boycotting them in the wake of recent infiltrations and killings ..would FURTHER shame them ...adding to what NZ and Eng did.  This would make major cricketing headlines and bring in more shame on Pak in front of every major cricket playing nation.

 

I love cricket,  but India a zillion times more. Ofcourse  I would watch the match if it occurs. But I am totally leaning on a boycott of Pak cricket for the larger good of the nation.

 

Where do you stand ?

Then Pakistan qualifies to knockouts and somehow wins the world cup.

I would have been ok with the decision had this been atleast a couple of months ahead of this tournament. Not this close to the event. That is unethical. It’s not like Pak has become a terrorist nation overnight.

 

It causes monetary losses, hurts the cricket economy, not good for the host side or ICC, India loses points, rivals get free points. Agree with the sentiment but don’t agree with the timing .

With things " settled"  in Afghanistan per Pak's requirements, Pak has again started heavy infiltration and killing of minorites.

 

11 innocent have lost their lives in the last 9 days.

Innocents can be avenged other ways. Boycotting this match at this stage has more cons than pros.

 

Also Pakistanis might play this for whatever reason, Indian team treats it as just another professional encounter.

 

Losing CT didn’t have any implications on India nor winning it improved Pak cricket. It’s just another game. Focus to win the tournament and let the diplomats, politicians and army do their thing.

May be it's to late for cancellation but I am surprised that chutiya naresh gangu and jay Shah invited them for ipl final and ok to play in Pakistan as per recent developments. Pakistan and Pakistanis are snakes they can't be trusted and the have similar feelings for us. So keep them away as much as possible.

Yeah, you need a reasonable IQ to understand how international (not bi-lateral) boycott/ pariah treatment , can be humiliating for a nation. 

 

You probably did not realize it when NZ and Eng refused to play in Pak.

 

This would be one more egg on their face.  International players who these days are quiet attuned to geopolitical events would develop further adverse opinions on Pak.

 

I don't grudge you, the petty minded cannot see beyond 2 points and tournament prospects.

Yeah, I am extremely surprised at that.  The only explanation is BCCI and GoI are not working in coordination.

 

The govt is contemplating a massive retaliation in J&K, probably some action across the LoC. 

 

Terrible decision by Ganguly. Don't know why our former cricketers love sucking up to these snakes.

India would have to win every game, Pak can afford to lose to a better team like Nzl and bash all the minnows that they are more than capable of.

 

Looks more like a delicious omelette served up on a platter than egg on face.

 

egg on face would be of BCCI had managed to throw them out of the tournament not forfeiting a match and giving the opposition points.
