Likewise Raina, Jadeja, Rohit yesterday have faced vilest of casteist abuses. There was not even a murmur of protest or support from RCB/ India captain. Religious/casteist/gender based all kinds of abuses should be strictly no go. Clearly Kohli feels only the religious taunts and abuses are to be condemned. People citing wokism and activism are no different than the pakistanis claiming islam superiority and sajdas based on one win Basically opprortunistic vultures who are using this loss to drive their heinous right wing agenda People who really believe a 5 second gesture for humanity caused this loss need their mental health checked Many posters i once respected have shown their true colors. Imagine being such a low human being you throw a fit at a 5 second gesture for humanity and blane us losing on that. We haev lost matches when we wore pink ribbons etc. Not a single time have i seen anyoje blaming a 5 second gesture for thosr defeats. Many have accepted we would lose this wt20 because kohli is a bad captain There is only one reason for people like OP suddenly now using wokism, etc as excuse for loss based on a 5 second gestruee Its because right wing socila media has given them their marching orders. The rigth wing has already capptured all media and social media. Their next target is Bollywood and sports, two things which drive passion in india So their brainwashed cult members have been given marching orders on what narrative to spread here, how to attack both. suddenly intelligent people really believe personal drug use is one of the most heinous crome. Suddebly intelligent people believe a 5 second bumane gedture is what caused us to lose focus The brainwashing is complete Once this is done, and sports and bollywood and TV captured, the dictatorship will be complete and there is no coming back. Do you mean to say because India took the knee or Kohli supported Shami, he is above criticism now? We are a nation where sports fans burnt down a stadium in 1996, physically attacked players homes in 2003 or 2007, threw rotten eggs and tomatoes against non-performance. Players effigies being burnt was a common scene in 90s and 2000s. Did you wake up only in recent years? BTW most cricketers have been the targets of the left liberal class for being jingoists and promoting nationalism. Liberals have always celebrated India's losses as in their world view our wins add to nationalism. Not sure what takeover you're talking about. Someone who is super active on social media giving casteist abuses or attacks on his team mate's pregnant wife a pass looks deliberate to me. The least he could do is to rein in his abusive PR trolls. Ask Gavaskar how this gang targetted him for a remark made in jest last year. One tweet/ IG post/ message could end it all from these trolls. But then to each his own. VT87, raki05 and AuxiliA 3

IndianRenegade Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Too much is being made out of this woke stuff. May be the first match with Pak, the taking the knee stuff seemed to be a bit unplanned with a Rohit negotiating with babbar. Apart from that, this has become routine, almost every team does it now. I don’t believe india is exclusively being affected by a woke syndrome. Whatever is happening is much more related to the form & ability of our team rather than how woke they are. let’s stop embarrassing ourselves, the team needs a revamp, Kohli should no longer be the leader for cricketing reasons not because he is woke.
goose Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 (edited) there is nothing wrong with being woke. the word has been misappropriated by the far right, and very successfully. anti-woke has become 'code' to enable those with racist / bigoted / divisive views to come together, particularly on social media, under one palatable sounding banner. that is not to say some good people are not in this camp. but all the bad ones are in there with them Edited November 1, 2021 by goose upriser7 and GoldenSun 2
addicted4444 Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Completely illogical post. England is clearly the most “woke” team in this tournament. Their best player (and probably the best player in the world) isn’t playing because they instituted a mental health policy, which was slammed as wokeness for over a year now. They continue to look like the best team by far. Mostly because of their wokeness. South Africa literally has a team selected on the basis of social policy. Even they are looking far more competent than India and have good wins under their belt. The problem with India is that we have a captain who makes the team lesser than the sum of its parts. Sometimes the parts are good enough that they can still win. Very often they aren’t. This is the polar opposite of a team like New Zealand, for example, which under Kane Williamson always is far greater than the sum of its parts. The fairly obvious proof of this is the Indian team in the tour of Australia and the marked difference in the team under Kohli and Rahane, despite the fact that they were running on fumes under Rahane. The more long term evidence of this is RCB which never looks to threaten in the IPL under Kohli despite having star studded teams. And then, 1 last piece of evidence, which isn’t so conclusive, but is damning nonetheless, was Kohli talking about the pressure of playing for India when they know that there are so many people watching. Are you seriously telling me that Lords being filled with 80% Indians when India is playing England works against Indian players? That’s the most ridiculous statement I’ve ever heard. It might be fair for a young player who isn’t used to it, but this team is stacked with experience. WTF is Kohli doing blaming the pressure of having supporters? diga, vijaydude, Mariyam and 1 other 4
