How about you just don't watch games then. When a universally pitch is accepted for test cricket then we can talk about turn or swing or bouncy pitches.

Not a dustbowl at all. Kanpur has always had low bounce and some turn. Due to the winter setting in early, the pitch may not deteriorate so easily.

I think some people can not appreciate art of spin and can not think beyond 140 -150+ kph.

 

However, to me, spin is just as beautiful as pace.some good bats may hit couple of odd boundaries to give impression that spin is easy but its not. Infact Its equally or more testing then pace. If it was easier, overseas players would have racked runs in India too, which clearly, they can’t.

It's a nice pitch. Good spinners will get turn and there was swing as well for fast bowlers. Low bounce.. Sure. India need to score 300 at least and attack with 3 spinners. We don't have a Jamieson to take wickets.

I dont see what the fuss is to be honest... the pitch has eased out and India are in a position to get 350+ in the first innings. 

 

The match (unless NZ totally collapse) should last 4 days.

Swing has nothing to do with pitch. You cant "make" a swinging pitch.

 

Swing is based on overhead conditions. as the swing of the ball is due to air pressure not the pitch conditions.

Seaming pitches I mean. They just organize seaming pitches without too much bounce to suit their mediocre medium pace fodders. Atleast Aussies and saffers have bounce which again suits tall bowlers or bowlers with good natural bounce. Unfortunately for both Aussies and saffers, India have several top tier bowlers capable of bowling hard lengths with bounce.

Nothing wrong with the pitch on day 1 I felt. However, I think the pitch will start to break up at around tea time. Fun days ahead.

Jamieson is not some speed demon, he is 2 meters plus and extracts bounce but trundles. 
 

nz prepare seaming doctored pitches for home games give them hardest square turners and make them squirm it’s all good.

This pitch is beautiful.

 

Looking forward to Axar, Ash and Jaddu tearing apart NZ.

 

NZ will be lucky to make 200. The longer India bats tomorrow, the smaller the 1st Innings of NZ. Could easily be bowled out for under 150.

Uh we have umesh who is better than jammu in Asian conditions. Averages 23.
