Appointing Rohit, a troublemaker, as captain in LOIs could backfire big time:

• Usually misses difficult games in SENA - NZ tour and the pink ball test in Aus 
• In Aus, went out to dine despite the protocols and then created a scenario where Ind could not play if x or y did not happen (series abandonment scenario)  
• In Eng, 5th test abandoned due to instigating by Sharma, along with Kohli

He has prooven that he will play if he can and his team will give best shot to win trophy( why go that long, Rohit attended recent training in segregation but Kohli doesn’t) . Have seen it innumerable times. A player is injured is modern BCCI way of not selecting a player for Xyz reasons. 
 

I think you come out too harsh on Rohit even before he has become a captain unless you want to do a @maniac (I said so )

I have more compassion for Hitman though, Kohli should have gone down quietly. He had his chances. Many of them too.

 

He has failed us at ICC tournaments for the last few years, time to go in a different direction.
