Pandya has started hitting lots of 4s against pacers. Earlier, he didn't use to do that. That short arm jabs and backfoot cuts and those vicious pulls are finding gaps now plus he always hits the ball hard. I bet he would have smoked another 6 if required today. He was that good.

That was the most impressive part. A lesser finisher would have 100 percent skied one in the air. He just played such calculated cricket.

From his debut days he's always displayed the ability to not only hit pace bowlers for boundaries, but do it with proper technique cover drives and straight drives.  His timing is par with what you expect from international class Indian batsmen.

That slightly shortish length which used to bother him no longer seems to be that much of an issue. Chad Calmness displayed at the end is reminiscent of Dhoni at his peak.

More than anything,Im really impressed with his bowling part

He has broken the code of bowling in t20s,what i like about him now is he isn't looking to settle being economical only

He is hurting them by bowling at aggressive lines and lengths and eventually picking wickets

Indian young quicks need to look at him now,bouncers cutters,yorkers ,he executes them all

At the same time i would like the TM to take special care of his back in these extreme conditions

Few Pakistani believes india dint win because of Pandya heroics. It's because of their fast bowler injury, Babar miscalculation and Nawaj short ball to Pandya. BC all their fast bowlers were bashed in last few overs, match only became interesting because Jadega tried to be Dhoni in last overs and I am sure had it been fast bowler bowling last over India would have won in first 3 balls. One thing I liked yday that Jadega and Pandya hung in after 3 quick wkts took the game deeper and than bash during 16-19 overs so that we have not many left in last over to chase. Plz get rid of Avesh Kuruvilla, Kela and Chahal(due to his fielding).

He is definitely in the zone. Cricketers hit this patch few times in their life cycle. But few can make it last.

Hardik has brought back the old Caribbean flair to cricket ( which even the Carrbbeans have lost )

....  Playing attractive strokes and scoring at a high SR

.... Winning the match for his country

I was thinking about quitting watching T20Is after seeing trundlers floating the ball up and old batters tuktuk-ing and failing.

 

Now the interest rises again.
