Hope he justifies the thread title this Oct/Nov, without him firing absolutely no chance. Many must fire but the balance Hardik gives the side is unique, nobody else can do that role in Indian cricket, practically speaking every other player is replaceable, even Bumrah.

Pandya has overall decent bowling figures against Pakistan much like Kohli has good batting numbers  Hope last match was an Anamoly. India has to beat one of SA or Pakistan hoping their clash don't involve run rate situation. There is a good chance we will lose to SA. Klassen vs Chahal so far only one winner in the history.

RSA comfortably better in those conditions, Perth is basically their backyard and not just from cricket pov, many whites from RSA settled there after end of apartheid. They'll be right at home and have a huge advantage in virtually every department, even spin bowling!!!

@zen SDP needs to bring the A game. Just check Kluesner performances, he bailed the team out every time in back to the wall situations. Giving SDP a pass for Pak win because that’s the only thing I am invested in with this team.

As long as the seniors continue to occupy spots in the team, it does not matter to me if he performs or not (would be more worried if he performed badly for GT not this team)

I want him to use this as a learning experience. If he does well, enjoy the performance; he he fails, learn from it

If he performs, I am happy

If he does not esp. when seniors continue to fail, a lesson taught to TM/selectors, etc.

One player can’t be accountable when the team has players who play for themselves like the stats padders.

What value has a KL offered so far? The guy constantly fails in imp matches and his made the VC.  No one even dared to have a thread on him like “v Dravid 99”

I give him that he steps up in tournaments except when he goes missing due to injury. At times he does crazy things like this lol in the name of swag.  "Watch from other end"   he said to Arshdeep then scored 2 or 3 runs in the next 10 balls :phehe:

Pandya did well too (took 3/20 including the key wicket of the dangerous Klassen in the final for e.g.). No harm in being sporting and giving him credit too.

Nothing wrong in giving Pandya the credit he deserves.  Problem is when he gets compared with the likes of former GOAT ARs like Kluesner & a separate thread based on this inapt comparison gets created.   It is an insult to Kluesner (who was a GOAT in ODIs and Tests).  There was no T20 cricket at that time.  A weird argument saying Pandya won Ind a WT20 (whereas Kluesner couldn't) is laughable.
