Babar has not been out of form per se. He got a 100 in just the last series vs England (when Mark Wood was not playing). He has struggled here because of the pressure and also becsuse of the strong bowling attacks in general. Babar can score against decent attacks as we have seen in the longer form but he needs time. In t20 most of his good knocks have been against halwa attacks.

 

Rohit is a more curious case. He is trying to attack which is great. I thought he looked good vs Pak in the super 4 Asia Cup match. I don't seem him hitting a very big score but he might make a quickfire 40 odd in the SF.

Rohit's approach isn't working then again we can't have three accumulators at top..Already Rahul is playing out maiden,Kohli taking time to settle. But unlike Rahul who gets out after his customary minnow bashing fifty,Rohit if takes time can take it till last and play very big innings.

The way rohit plays currently it's gonna be rare that he would go big specially with kl at other end playing maiden over.

It seems it is his choice and as a captain he is sacrificing himself..but one thing I noticed previously with Rohit and specially in Australia with the square boundaries...Rohit falling to the hook or pull shot...he is too experienced a player not to hit it straight to the fielder...it seems he thinks he can clear it but obviously it's not working. 

 

I think we should go back to our old template of scoring  60 to 80 in 10 and going all out attack in next 10 overs...it doesn't matter if Rohit or Kohli who takes time to settle in..bcos they would both along with mental midget..better save a wicket and get to that stage. After the fiasco agaisnt south Africa..I dnt think India can afford to be 4 wicket down in 10 overs

True, they should switch it around.  Ask Rahul to go from beginning & Rohit to take some time.
