We are not a serious cricket nation anymore.

How did you come to that conclusion. Guys like Pandya who were never serious about cricket is the problem and making them captain is the bigger problem.

This is what happens when you get things you are not worthy , Pandya was never good enough to become captain.

He as a player always opted for easy way out but has been constantly getting rewarded obviously he does not care if team wins or loses.

Ind needs to strengthen their batting should have proper batters till 7/8.

Bowlers should be table to tonk 1/2 boundary.

Batters cannot play for personal milestones. still this team has only 1 t20 player (sky).

Wkt taking bowlers are needed, or they should be able to tie down the batter completely (rt. now there is no bowling unit like it)

After getting owned by Windies, Dandya came out to the Post match conference wearing an expensive & colourful specs (despite the rainy weather) and had an ultra positive body language.   For a second, I thought it was some other PC, maybe that of an IPeel game.  :hysterical:   Look at the fake audacity & overacting skills of this Joker.  We are stuck with him till 2024 T20 WC.   Don't see him captaining longer or even staying in the team beyond 2024.

Don't care about the series loss, bilaterals are overrated. Good to see Tilak, Jaiswal getting chances, Kuldeep's form, SKY's confidence getting a boost etc.

If this result ends Chahal's international career, best news for Indian cricket.

More worried about some of the decision making, like backing Samson for no good reason, underbowling Axar, trundler fetish, those two clowns Chahal and Mukesh getting selected ahead of more promising youngsters.....

Even Pandya's batting has declined so much.

bilaterals are overrated, but when one starts to lose vs minnows, there is definite cause for concern (and this current WI T20 side is minnows, not like the peak sides of 2016 and thereabouts). this cause for concern is amplified when poor decisions are made

When was he fearless hitter?

even until start of 2021, I would say. Had ODI SR of 117 at 33 batting avg (Maxwell-like record) and T20 SR of 146 at 26 batting avg.

neither are phenomenal, but were enough for AR.

8 out of 11 players who played yesterday hv been around for close to 4-5 yrs in intl cricket.  Only M Kumar, Jaiswal and Varma are new.   Our team is not even close to being 'bunch of rookies'

Isnt it convenient how you picked 'bunch of rookies' to make your point but completely ignored the second set i wrote about. Gill, Samson, Axar and arshdeep fall in trying to establish themselves. Even Kuldeep is making a comeback, Chahal is hanging around but not a sure shot in playing XI. Only 2 in that playing XI have an assured position SKY and Pandya.

You want to continue taking pi$$ on our team, please continue but that doesnt change fact that if it will take time for this T20 team to settle down.

You hv mentioned "Chahal is hanging around" :hysterical:.   The 40 kg malnourished loser has been playing since 2016.  Of course , he will hang around like a loose empty bag in the air.   And it's the rookies (varma and jaiswal) who hv done well in this series.  So, rookies are least of our concerns right now.  Exact opposite of what u hv mentioned in your post.

Australia lost a 5 match T20 series in Bangladesh before winning the T20 WC in UAE. Poor decision making of course is a concern.

Kuldeep's always making a comeback - not because of his performances though but due to whims & facies of the BCCI admin & of course TM :hmpf:

He was dropped straight after a MoM performance in Bangla first test, he was dropped for *ing Jayant Yadav vs SL at home, he was also dropped for Endura mass living advert in the SF of 2019 & we all know who was the worst bowler on a super helpful track that day! Don't pretend that Behaal is anything but undeserving of a spot right now.

Think its gotta do with GT captaincy and him trying to be a senior player/anchor.

Doesn't suit his game. Needs to go back to being a fearless hitter.

I dont know what the reason is, but its been festering for some time now.  He's got the ability, its a shot selection thing.  And its getting annoying.

It's just another way of glorifying a flawed process. I would buy the process argument and justify some losses *if* they were going in with a team primarily composed of highly talented but raw newbies who just need some experience. As it stands, it was mainly the newbies (with the exception of Mukesh Kumar) plus the two Yadavs who kept the team afloat whereas the others who have been around a while (Chahal, Axar, Kishan, Pandya, Samson ....) held the team back.
