gakgupta Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Now that semis spot for India is more or less fixed, should we rest bumrah stratgically.. He came out from injury and we have use him carefully... On the spinning tracks and on the matches against Scotland... What do you guyz say?? He is very very important for the semis SRT100 and sandeep 1 1

He is very very important for the semis Scotland playing this WC??? yes we should give Shami a few games, we can even start with Bangladesh game. But our team is conservative, I don't expect changes until the semis spot is a mathematical certainty.
Gollum Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Not strategy, it will be a necessity to rotate quicks. Vijy and raki05 1 1
deathmonger Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 bangladesh, sri lanka, netherlands - definitely.
Adamant Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Rest Bumrah vs Netherland, that’s it. Cant take any more risks in world cup. raki05 1
Norman Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Rest him against Sri Lanka and Netherlands. That's it.
R!TTER Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Maybe next match, play Shami instead & if it spins or spins big then Ashwin.
cowboysfan Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 defintely.infact i would consider resting rohit, kuldeep and kohli too.
rkt.india Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 No need. There is plenty of gap between games. Players also need continuity to maintain their rhythm. Someone above is saying we have to rest in a WC just because we 7 tests to play after the WC. You are talking about resting in freaking WC. You better rest him in the test series instead. We will rather play debutants there in Prasidh. AuxiliA, bsriharsha, Frustrated and 1 other 1 3
vvvslaxman Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Dharamsala , Prasidh is a genuine option. He gets natural bounce. Pitch is bouncier.

My guess they'll start resting after qualification is confirmed. We play Ned last so Bumrah/Pandya can skip it.
Number Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 (edited) The gap between NZ and Eng is 7 days. I think all players and staff will get a sort of 3-4 days mini break, in which they get to go to home. Edited October 16, 2023 by Number
Number Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 How good is Bumrah man.. If only we had a clone making machine, I would generate a few like him.
Lord Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 yes. Must else Pandya like incident can happen Rest him v SL,Ned
Need4Speed Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 If we matches very close..like 2-3 days apart..rest him..if 5-7 days apart we may play him..dont want to disturb his playing rythm..if he playing next match after 10-12 days..I need to see whats Indian team schedule looks like..
Vijy Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 look at schedule, opposition, pitch, etc and then decide
