Everyone knew WC final will be in Ahmedabad. What advantage did it have? Nothing, nada, zilch.

How can it be 'advantage' if its equal for everyone?

Here only one team knew they'll play in Guyana

It is funny because in the ODI world cup 2023, Pakistan irrespective of where they finish were scheduled to play their Semi-Finals at Eden Gardens because PCB requested BCCI for the same due to security concerns. It is another thing that they did not qualify. So did PCB manipulate schedule to suit their team as well? Everyone before they got on that plane knew the schedule and now that these teams are not qualifying their experts are crying because it has to be the fault of India & BCCI. It is not that their players played poorly and lost and got eliminated.

It is very simple, India knew that they will play in Guyana and the other teams knew that if they were to play India they will have to do that in that venue. They would have known is even before they got on that plane. Advantage is if India had played all their games in Guyana and got to play their Semi-Finals there too. Knowing that you play in a venue does not give any advantage to your team unless you are playing at home. India did not play a single game in Guyana before the semis, so did England. Also England played all their games in the Caribbean but India had to play in the US and then come here. So can we say England had the advantage of the conditions as they were here in the Caribbean longer? This is all media stunt to discredit India's win, no one has the advantage in white ball format in neutral venues.

This has been happening regularly. What the author doesn't want others to know is many teams including their own have benefited from it. This goes as far back as 1992 WC when Aus and NZ were guaranteed to play their SF at their own home locales. The author and english media/fans in general didn't object to them playing in Bridgetown and St.Lucia because a lot of englsih fans travel there

I am actually not sure why padosi fans are upset. They reached finals in 2022. This time India has reached the finals. Whats the big deal. Also pak lost to Zimbabwe and india in 2022 and still reached the finals. India has beaten all teams.

Early Middle Ages
The Scottish people, or Scots, originated from a mix of two Celtic groups, the Picts and Gaels, who established the Kingdom of Scotland in the 9th century.

Telegraph uk doing it for click bait.

The reserve day theory is based on 250 hours of semi 1 extending into the next day.

Guyana semi was fixed due to visa issues faced by indian fans in other segments of the windiest. Espresso h1b indians.

Not everything is corruption

On the face it, it is true that ICC is bending to the will of broadcasters to generate millions but that is dependent on broadcasting recouping millions from TV audiences from India. Without this ICC do not have funds to distribute to ICC members so if Eng has a problem let them agree to the international game dying and all money, revenue and eyeballs including overseas players will be in the IPL.

They can continue playing gilly danda ashes with Aus on their own them. I want a strong international circuit of teams playing cricket but this simply isnt the fan following the world outside of South Asia to guarantee return of investment so this is NOT A GLOBAL SPORT. This is an INDIAN sport now

Its articles like these that make me think why don't BCCI create an year long IPL with more teams and cut this country v country nonsense. And get this, we can have tests in IPL too, just that its geared towards franchises. This will break the back of England and Australia who think they can threaten BCCI by making such constant whiny articles.

We can also enable talent in other countries and not enable it in countries (like Pakistan). Trust me I have more faith in BCCI to do this than ICC. Let Australia and England play within themselves with their Ashes with meagre salaries.

Oh I have another idea. Lets make ICC a rebel organization. If you play ashes or any inter-country cricket, you are not allowed in IPL :ban: For example, Head can play for :hs: or CA. Butler can play for :rr: or ECB. Lets do it and hit them where it really hurts - their pockets.

Why go that far? The draws were fixed for 2011 WC semis(?) in SL, then 2015 WC, same for 2023 semis in fact where we had to play Pak at Kolkata, if they qualified.
