South Africa is giving me secondhand imposter syndrome for Team India.

They are crushing every team like a school boy team and giving me a secondhand imposter syndrome for Team India.

But....but...this is like what we did to all teams in the 2023 World Cup. 10 crushing wins out of 10, only to have one bad day in the final.

Australia lost 2 games and still became world champions.

Hopefully, if India miraculously makes it to the semis and finals -- South Africa will have that one bad day that is due.

Eng, NZ both have good ICC/KO records against RSA. I think Proteas will bow out in SF in a new venue, after playing 5 games in Namo.

Hard to say man...they are solid in both batting and bowling, maybe much more in batting.

Even the early batting collapse against us did not faze them.  What is scary is that their batting is in red hot form.

The only thing that can defeat South Africa in this form - is one batter playing a freakish innings against them.

That Mujeeb drop of Maxwell actually changed history.

They nearly lost to Afghanistan. If fazal farooqi had dived everything would have been very different.

Afg is a good side.  India was nearly botching it all against US and Netherlands.

Our bowling & fielding is almost minnow esque

English bowling attack may not trouble SA.  Only Kiwis have the might and teeth in their attack to stop their juggernaut.

I also prefer facing Poms in Semis than NZ.

Relax folks, knockouts is a different ball-game. No need to worry about it and take it one match at a time. Whoever reaches SF needs to win 2 to win the title and everyone will have the same chance to win the tourney. No point in over-analyzing especially T20s.

I'm glad that at least we got our team right and kicked out Sundar from playing XI. SKY's the only non-performing player in the team now as every other player can win the match on their own. As long as SKY doesn't have a brain-fart moment we should be good.

Look who’s asking to relax :giggle:

Did you forget this ? which happened only 2 months back :)  India had a perfect bad day.    2 no balls both went for six. Zero turn for spinnners which is our strength. Also We committed harakiri while batting. India could have chased the total .An inform one.

They have a long tail and when wickets will fall they will panic and choke like they did in the final against us. Rest their team is solid. They need to play one more batmsan and drop one of their pacers.

I have said this earlier aswell, this is South Africa's world cup to lose. If they cant win this one, they would never recover from the guilt.

Honestly i want SAF to win this for Miller, Ngidi, Rabada, such gems. It would be good for the game.

Markram seems to have a steely resolve this time. SA has broken through the glass ceiling with the test win and will win it all.

They may crash out against NZ in SF. Not feeling good about SA chances against NZ.

Yeah would suck....and if NZ makes it to the finals then they will be hard to beat for any team.

Indeed,  SA have had this bad day tonight.  'Bad' may not be the right word.  It's actually much worse.

It’s a shame that a mediocre team like NZ gets lucky when it counts the most. No way they should have moved to the final ahead of SA.

Glad the 2019 WC was snatched from them and given to Eng due to the boundary rule.

Bastards have too much luck going their way ordinarily.
