Very impressive so far! Its not the runs but the technique. Look a cert for tests IMO. So different form Kohli who flashes at things and looks suspect. Only a small knock from badrinath but I am impressed!

No. People don't watch the games properly. Badri was weak vs short ball. Kohli wasn't. That's why people need to watch the actual A tour games or ranji.

But Venky then saw both of them (and Badri's runs) and despite that picked Virat over Badri saying Virat is the future, and Badri is not. Real cricket pundits have an idea of the future.

Badri had scored 5481 runs at avg of 75 from 2005-10.

 

If that kind of performance can give only 2 tests for India while Yuvraj played 40 tests averaging 34, Raina played 18 tests averaging 26, it certainly does seem like his hard work wasn't valued.

Lots of fodders has insane average in ranji. Even Jaffer. We all saw how he did in internationals 

 

Ability needs to be scrutinized more rather than base someone of domestic stats.

How did Raina got opportunities with team during overseas tour, whereas Badri was ignored?

 

Clearly short ball issue, A tours performances etc are just excuses.
