Dhoni's innings was disgusting

Dhoni is still a Gun player in ODIs. I just hope he relieves himself from captaincy after the Champions Trophy. I don't see him lasting till 2019 WC though and I don't want him captaining the team as well as playing for his place in the side at that time.

 

Just get rid of the Captaincy and play freely and I am sure he can be a major part of India's plans in the World Cup.

We have been saying this he should have left captaincy post 2015 and enjoyed his captaincy. 

Now if he leaves in 2017 that leaves the next captain 1.5-2 yrs only to make a team acc to him which i feel is not fair to the next one. 

 

Someone needs to tell dhoni that play freely and other batsman also needs to assure him that in case u fall we will fight, wont entirely blame him going in this mindset as after kohli he is the only one who tries to control the innings.  But when things are not going ur way all this effort would look foolish and wud start to take its tole mentally

I think 1.5 to 2 years is still enough if Kohli is made the Captain as he is already the Test captain. So the transition will be quite smooth unlike a new captain who will have to establish credibility, rapport, etc. Also the core of the team will not change much, so Kohli doesn't have to build a team from scratch.

It would sound like but generally isnt the case. BEcoz next captain needs to see some failure in his plans to work on them to. 

Dravid started well but when his plans stopped working he had no time to fix it and then 2007 team was mess of plan.

 

Even though m pretty sure if we loose CT2017 and most imp if dhoni form isnt good that wud be his last series as captain, but just feel wont be fair to next captain. Specially with indian emotional public who wud expect next one to win WC as dhoni has done. There would be huge pressure.

 

This should have been done Post Ind-bang series, if we loose this series that wud be a catch 22 situation. Right now kumble needs to take over the dressing room and help dhoni free his mind and same with kohli on field. He is a terrific odi player and his worst is still better than most. 

There is no technical issue and not even fitness its all in his mind, he is playing half hearted shots. He shud push himself up and pandey at 5 as dhoni mental ability to shift gears is in doubt. With tail u always shud b up to shift gears.

When senior legends like Sachin, Laxman, Dravid were retired - Dhoni forced them to retire, what a legend!. Not to forget guns like Gambhir. Sehwag. All of them were also gun players/legends

 

When Dhoni is out of form and people criticize him - they are all haters

 

Dhoni chamchas are the worst hypocrites.

yes, you cannot go berserk but at least score at a decent rate. Pitch wasnt a minefield. Jadhav played along with him too, scored more runs than him at a higher strike rate. SR of 60 is just not good enough these days.

For any other game, I could understood but the dismissal in the 2nd ODI was a bit of a freak one.

Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane also played at SR of 60.

Dhoni should play at no 4 so that he can play with both Kohli at no 3 & Pandey,Jadhav & Pandya.

 

He can be the anchor around this stroke players

dhoni is no longer a finisher. he can still play role of an accumulator, basically an ideal #4. however, he will have to give up wicketkeeping to do this, so not sure if its possible. it makes sense though because you can't expect a 39 year old dhoni to be WK in the 2019 World Cup. you have to start grooming somebody by next year.

Well...I think he should have defended...but the way he did was lousy and looked he might get out any moment.....

Earlier, he would have done the same but with lot more confidence....but now he seems to lost his reflexes....so he looked sratchy...

I simple words, I could not see that personality anymore....
