Malcolm Merlyn Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Got to feel bad for Umesh Yadav. He has bowled with pace, swung the new ball, reverse swung the old all.Has been decently accurate.Has beaten the bat numerous times, have had catches dropped off his bowling. But he hasnt had the returns to show for it.He has bowled with a big heart. Thank God,Bhuvi wasnt chosen over Yadav. Tibarn, SecondSlip, Ironhide and 9 others 10 2
GautiMaan Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Lion hearted performance ,good that he got a wicket off the last ball atleast Mosher 1
ShebbySB Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Well he got 2....bowled lot better than that.Good see him getting a long run the playing XI over others. Shami and Umesh are our 2 best fast bowlers in tests. Rightarmfast, SecondSlip and Mosher 3
WC2011INDIA Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 He has improved considerably. Would like to see him bowl on a green mamba. And I want him to get a full series in England and SA. Mosher and express bowling 2
Malcolm Merlyn Posted November 26, 2016 Author Posted November 26, 2016 Hope this keeps Ishant out of the playing 11.
express bowling Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 He bowled excellently in the 2nd and 3rd sessions today. He was targeting the top of off-stump at high pace. Moved the ball both ways. Way to bowl on Indian pattas. If he can keep on bowling like this....and punctuate it with a few surprise bouncers....wickets won't be far away for him. Both our fast bowlers are bowling very quick even in the last session of the day...and that takes a lot of heart. Mosher and Rightarmfast 2
rkt.india Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Those drops at Rajkot really hurt his figures in this series. We had 4 drop catches in first 6 overs, 3 of them of his bowling. Sometimes, pace can be your enemy too if your fielders are not quick enough to held on to the catches in the slips and gully. Ironhide, Mosher, SecondSlip and 5 others 8
chewy Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 fielders and wicketkeeper let him down (and India) big time in Rajkot.
Cricketics Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 His best performance in a while. More consistent today than in recent times I have seen. Brilliantly bowled today and troubled all.
Lannister Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 (edited) He sure looks a different kind of bowler under Kohli. Dhoni always had a leg slip, I think he was forcing Yadav to bowl more on leg stumps and that has messed up his line and lengths. Thank god he did sod off from the Test cricket before inflicting anymore damage. Edited November 26, 2016 by Lannister Laaloo, SecondSlip and Rightarmfast 3

SUMO Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 yadav bowling his best ever at the moment express bowling 1

panther Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 He's good but bhuvi Kumar is a better bowler.
Mosher Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Umesh bowled with a lot of heart today. Both Umesh and Shami have been bowling well in this series but the stats wont show that. They have been let down by the pathetic drops by the keepers and the slips. Ironhide, Rightarmfast, Laaloo and 5 others 8
BeautifulGame Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 He is a decent support bowler in Indian conditions . He simply doesn't have the consistency or ability with new ball to be a world class bowler . Even when on his best form he hardly picks up more than 2-3 wickets at best .Compare this with Bhuvi when conditions favour him , he runs through batting line ups . He will look good in India because he isn't under pressure to be main bowler as spinners deliver . But the problem will be laid bare again when go overseas and expect him to deliver match winning spells .He simply isnt capable of that on a consistent basis . I really would try to find a younger potential pacers in these home tests if possible and try to develop them for the real tests . beetle, Texan, Lord and 1 other 4
Rightarmfast Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Umesh and Shami, as of today might just be the world's best fast bowling pair. They are definitely better than English and Pakistani bowlers presently. express bowling 1
