FischerTal
i dont want him to go the irfan pathan way but i believe he's suited for this role. pandya in tests is too hot/cold for me. i dont see his test career lasting for too long unless he gets a long rope from the captain. chewy
He can, but probably best to consider him as bowler only and any runs he provides as bonus rather not make team selection based on Bhuvi being an all-rounder same with Ashwin, any runs from him should be considered as bonus soon as Ashwin was recognised as an all-rounder, team management have been fcuking about with his batting position, especially like when he comes in before Saha.. wtf zen and beetle 2 Link to comment
Ankit_sharma03
No let him be a bowler who contributes with bat And have patience with pandya But bhuvi again showed we missed him in last game not only as bowler but as batsman. Kohli in 1st and rohit in 2innings have they had one more partner who knws.....its cud have been close beetle 1 Link to comment
BeautifulGame
He is the only bowler in this line up who can run through a team. Let him just be our best bowler. He is a great no.8 and doesnt need additional responsibilities beetle 1 Link to comment
shortbread
No, because Bhuvi will be dropped again. Pandya on the other hand will keep playing, because he is 'aggressive' and curses more. Qualities that the captain finds appealing. Shunya and beetle 2 Link to comment
bowl_out
Too much pressure on Bhuvi .. He should be the No. 8 that contributes a useful 30 and hangs around with the No. 6/7 Vijay Shankar should be the No. 6 batsman who can bowl a few overs overseas. Bowling should be : 3 quicks + 1 spinner + Vijay Shankar Link to comment

The guy was carrying most of the workload, especially since Zaheer was unfit and got injured on the first day itself. Dhoni could rely on no one else, Bhuvi kept bowling tirelessly, kept getting slower and hit for runs. Hope the same doesnt happen again. Link to comment

Which only strengthens the point that we shouldn't burden him with batting expectations also Link to comment
Temujin Khaghan
Make bhuvi captain, he is capable with both bat and ball and he is a compulsive pick in all three formats. Link to comment
rkt.india
dont see him good enough to bat at 6 or 7. he is 8 at best. Pandya has the skills, needs to sort his temperament. Link to comment
Vk1
As good a choice as Ashwin is but doesn't get as many boundaries. He can hang around for really long to keep the score moving. Link to comment
wanted_desi
He is excellent #8 guy for us. Link to comment
sarcastic
Bhuvi as bowling allrounder at #8 and Pandya as batting allrounder at #6/7 is the best combination we can have. Have 8 batsmen in the team and 5 bowlers..>> We need a batting as well as a bowling all rounder to have a go at world domination. Link to comment
putrevus
vijay shankar? that guy doesn't even bowl at 125 and people somehow think he is good enough to bat at no 6. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Treat their runs as bonus. Don't bank on them. That is when they do well. beetle 1 Link to comment
Khota
This is age of specialization. Yesterday Bhuvi was bowling great. Enjoy it and dont mess with him by changing expectations. let him do what he enjoys. Dont put pressure on these guys as was done on Irfan. beetle 1 Link to comment
rtmohanlal
No.... he is a bowler who can chip in with useful even most vital runs .No need of putting extra pressure on him by tagging him ' all rounder' Link to comment
ravishingravi
We have lost many good bowlers to this all rounder dream. Link to comment
mishra
Bhuvi ishould concentrate on being best bowler. He needs to add few more miles to his max speed, because occasionally, when some player goes after him and he should be able to hit their ribcage. Link to comment
