Shardul has no India future. Rajpoot should have been picked in his place. Siraj and Prasidh Krishna were top wicket takers in VH trophy. Siraj should have been picked too.

There is no sense and logic to these selections.

 

Manish Pandey in T20s instead of ODIs?

 

Dhawan, Raina, Dhoni, Karthik... Other teams are giving chances to young players atleast in T20s and here we are still going for old players. What has Raina done to merit a place in T20 squad? 

 

Shardul Thakur's selection seems to be a forced one too. These selectors will never learn.

Kaul and Umesh Yadav deserved the place on basis of his performance.

 

Pandey seems to be selection quota. Still in T20i squad. Raina in T2o is not a progress, neither is it deserved. Pant, Shreyas, Prithvi have all batted much better than him in IPL.

The T20 team has been pathetic for a long time. Useless recycled selections year on year with no thought to building a team or trying out younger in-form players. The format is ideal for giving talents a chance but Dhoni and co. hog all the spots and have turned the T20 team into a retirement home, that middle order is nauseating  

 

Need new selectors at least for the T20 format.

Good things:

Rahane, Manish, Axar kicked out of ODI squad.. 

Rahul in ODI squad.. Rayudu deserved a comeback

 

 

Not so good things:

T20 side still looks horrendous. Manish still in squad 

No young blood - Pant, Samson, Rana, Krunal, Shaw, Kishan, Mavi

Test squad is decent. Would have liked to see some more experiments - Dk and Vijay Shankar  instead of Saha and HaPa

Chahar is in India A.. What's the big deal?  Chahar has done well in domestics as well...

Rayudu ahead of Pandey is such a relief given their recent forms..

 

Raina is always questionable.. He has the energy and enthusiasm, but he is done... T20 side should have young blood... Dhoni, Raina et al are bad selections

Why is Sheryas in India A Squad and ODI squad. What is the point of it? 

Why Raina/Manish is any squad at all? Is it because young guys will be playing for India A?

Umesh is definitely Kohli quota pick. So are Raina & Rayudu...

 

Always look for positives. Be happy that Jaddu not picked in ODIs...

Everybody knows that Dhoni gets most of his quota players in the squad even if he’s not the captain because he can pull Lots of strings, which Kohli can’t...

 

Now you know why any Tom, Dick or Harry players keep on praising Dhoni and suck up to him...

So rayudu does well in a few matches in IPl and is suddenly in the Indin ODI squad. We have no chance in the 2019 WC with these bunch of jokers as selectors.

So the trend of not giving a chance to youngsters continues. Yuvraj has to score a couple of 50s and he would have been in the squad too.
