Continous pathetic and cowardly selections. If unable to give new debuts at home v a weak SL team then it will never happen.

so,if virat finally sits down and thinks logically what was going to happen before the last series started,then vijay-rahul should open in delhi,

rahul saved virat's ass in the aus series otherwise he would have had his first series loss as captain at home,atleast should leave rahul alone based only on that

Bhai logically a guy who averages 50+ with a SR of 149 should be one of the first names on the team sheet in T20Is. Yet Kohli has found a way to keep him out for his chaddi buddies. This is why people still fear the worst.

Pathetic selection. Rahane, DK, Jadhav and Kaul  this is the way forward??

1.  Defensive and poor ODI team selection.
2. Why no Siraj  ?  ODIs are much better for trying youngsters than T20Is.
3. Why no  KL Rahul  ?
4. Could have tried Vijay Shankar in ODIs too.
5. Why Bumrah ( or whoever the 5th pacer will be in SA )  is not selected for the 3rd test ?
6. It's good that Kohli is rested.

Vijay will be dropped. No doubts whatsoever on that.

Rather keep going back to karthik, select samson or pant whoever is performing which in this case was samson......how else are we grooming dhoni backup

Not only shankar its time we look at gowtham or krunal as a hard hitter who can give more then 5 overs consistently as 6th bowler

 

 

dhawan, rohit, rahane, jadhav, dhoni , hardik, karthik will have permanent slots in this series that leaves no slot.

Iyer and manish pandey will be warming benches in this series unless we win 1st 2 games , yet only one game against a side as good as minnow .

Why are people surprised with Karthik being selected? He's only selected to save Dhoni from embarrassment and make him look good so we can look back and say look even his replacement failed.

Expecting wholesome changes or trial series for youngsters  won't be possible with current broadcasting deals for domestic fixtures. There must be some internal agreement that mandates the presence of all superstars unless they are injured.

Why Rahane in ODI? He’s already a poor ODI player and is in the worst form of his life.. maybe to try and get him some runs before the SA tour?

 

And why Kaul? You can’t keep jumping from one new fast bowler to the other in 1-2 matches.. Thakur and Siraj needed an extended run.

 

Not surprised at any of the other selections.. maybe they should have rested Kohli for the third test too and played Vijay Shankar in the XI

Wah u think thats how it works..........

Well no in real world, they were looking for a no4 batsman who as kohli lives has to be experienced one.......and karthik as again scored heaps n heaps of runs in domestic and came back in team......

 

Dnt u knw kohli as captain he prefers experience n reputation over giving any new player a backing

1. Rohit

2. Dhawan

3. KL Rahul

4. Iyer

5. Pandey

6. Dhoni

7. Pandya

8. Chahal

9. Kuldeep

10. Bhumrah

11. Siraj

 

But the selectors and VK is hell bent on keeping likes of Rahane, DK, Jadhav who are utter ODI failures ( in the modern sense) and will not give chances to youngsters like Pant, Pandey, Iyer on a regular basis.
