One guy I would love to meet one day and tell him how important he was and is to India. I just want to thank him for his services in person. ravishingravi and putrevus 1 1

They owned every team they faced in their preparation for this WC (and then again in the tournament). Oh ok. I haven't followed them for that long.
vayuu1 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Hope this success doesn't get to their heads. This is just the start. Hope atleast 5 kids from this team make it to the national team in future.GillShaw KalraSharma MaviKoti Desai Rana PorelChahar (though not with squad) Have high hopes from them Sent from my vivo 1601 using Tapatalk
coffee_rules Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 After losing to teams like Nepal, BD in the Asia cup last year , the team , at least the bowling team was rebuilt. Kalra, Abhishek were in the losing team in yhat Asia cup. Amazing feat to dominate every team like this. Kudos to the players and the team management.
Straight Drive Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Looks like a superb team work than individual brilliance. Everyone contributed.
mancalledsting Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Had we not lost to Windies in 2016, we would have won 3 tournaments in a row! Well done BCCI, as least some money must be going into coaching and development.

bhakum20 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Congrats bachha log! This team doesn’t seem to have any major weaknesses, they’ve been clinical in their victories and avoided any drama.

Dravid is already padma bhushan...he deserves padma vibhushan IMO if sachin can be bharat ratna.

And yes, anything less than a finals appearance for India, should be viewed as a disappointment - and not just for u19. I mean, there are so few countries who play cricket at a high level. Even ODI or test cricket, realistically there are only 4, at most 5 teams that are really quality. Making a WC semi-final is really not an "achievement" at this point for any of those top 4 teams. Especially India. Shunya 1
Laaloo Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Team really looked a class apart. Some of the u-19 WC players from a few years back are still waiting for a consistent run with the team so don't think we will see these players donning the blue any time soon. Hope they keep working hard and it's great to see talent flowing.

Vilander Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 This team should be asked to play India A team see how they go.
WC2011INDIA Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Many players from this u-19 team will go on to represent the bcci team.
