There is a lot of humour going on but to an extent he is right. One swashbuckling innings of 93 and then.................REST IS HISTORY.

 

Although, he has been decent with the ball. He has been economical too. That's good for him.

 

He needs to be more consistent with the bat, that's it, and probably Binny(Roger) was trying to highlight the same.

It's hard to compare across eras, but if I were to do so, your comment becomes relevant.

 

Roger Binny Test and ODI  Batting Averages:  27 Tests @ 23.05 and 72 ODIs @ 16.12

 

Hardik Pandya Test and ODI Batting Averages (so far): 6 Tests @ 33, 27 ODIs @ 29.90

 

Note- I'm comparing batting averages because Binny has called out Pandya on his batting.

Difference is Yuvraj batted 5. Pandya 7 and has no choice but to throw his bat. He has been used as pinch hitter at times and most of his good innings have come when he batted up the order.

Pandya is a better bat and better bowl than Roger. I don't know if Pandya is the long term answer, but STFU Roger.

According to Mr. Binny All Rounder should be round like his son, only then he qualifies to be selected to play for India. Still remember how Stuart Binny was a first choice all rounder when Roger Binny was the chief selector
