Its not about Kismat. Kismat comes in play in single match of series. Not whole series. He is simply a guy who is more interested in making ad and spending quality time at home with his family. Time Spent off field towards planning for next game or series is what makes difference to time spent on field and converts a loss into a win.

Shashtri and Kohli are toxic combo. They can plan a match and make it 1 vs 11. While opponent make it 1 vs 11

Asia Cup 2014 lost to Pakistan by 1 wicket

Adelaide Test match same thing happened lost by 38 runs

CT 2017 lost the finals

first loi game scored 169 but lost to a team that made 158...

second game lol 130 odd but could not get to chase..

When you have 3 match series then kismat comes into play.Remember Nidahas trophy 34 required of 12  , because Rohit did terrible blunder of not sending Karthik earlier , he played like god and all is forgotten . Now look at first T20  , 21 of 12 with Karthik , Pant batting against very ordinary bowling attack and yet India lost . Sorry to say Kohli require effort of all players to win match while Rohit somehow win no matter what he do.

If you are talking as captain then he is poor. Yes he lost toss but there were many chances to win matches but he was just clueless. About Kohli the batsman i think he is one of the most luckiest batsman in world.

Yuvi scored 36 out of 6. That was once. Such things happen. Consistent failure is not Kismat, specially if you got a top side at your disposal.

India lost game one because of rain and chasing. What do India do next game. It decided to chase again when there was threat of rain.

Luckily we got few wickets, but who will say what happened in game 1 wouldnt have happened in game 2.

It rained overnight.

 

Obviously chasing was better option considering DLS can come into play and they can have proforma in hand How much they should score at how many wicket's cost at frequent interval assuming game continues for more than 6 overs.

If his t20 numbers aren't great that then he should not selectively sit out for WI t20s to celebrate his birthday..
