Starting to think Dr. Ambedkar was right that the caste needs to be annihilated. It's time for a constitutional amendment abolishing the word caste. It should be made a non-negotiable FR to not be tortured/discriminated on the basis of caste. Also, suo moto penalities/repurcussions against those who practice casteism and perpetuate the concept. Many prefer psychiatric counselling over suicide. It is extremely saddening but unfortunately it is true. In case of Dr.Payal Tadvi, all the 3 doctors have flown away from Hospital.I hope the true reason will be revealed and the culprits will get the punishment. Real McCoy 1

One of my batchmate faced this in Madras Medical College which is by far one the best college of TN but he tolerated that as it was just the matter of 3 yrs for him.Even central medical colleges like AIIMS and JIPMER arent spared from that. As far as medical field is concerned, the system consisting the PG exam conducting body and scarcity of PG seats are responsible for it. IN Maharashtra, almost 78% reservation is given and a bit of hatred among UR category students towards reserved is obvious.

Any competent government would have stopped its usage in songs, movies, matrimonial websites, religious institutions.

ravishingravi Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 In this country, we are almost incapable of dealing with core issues. I will leave this issue aside since some facts seems dubious. Is the issue here casteism ? or the issue is bullying / ragging ? Are people of "higher" caste not bullied ? Is ragging not a systemic part of many of our institutions especially medical colleges ?
