SecondSlip Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Quote India is set to play their last league game of World Cup 2019 against Sri Lanka in Leeds on Saturday. Speculations about the future of veteran wicketkeeper MS Dhoni, who is playing in his 4th World Cup, have been rife since the tournament started. While some had predicted that he could be playing his last tournament, according to few other experts Dhoni would continue to play in Indian colours even after the World Cup. In a report by news channel ABP News, a reporter claimed to have confronted Dhoni himself with the retirement question. Dhoni, in his inimitable style, was reported to have answered that he himself doesn't know when he will end up retiring. "I don't know when I will retire. But a lot of people want me to retire before tomorrow's game," Dhoni told ABP News. The reporter further clarified that the 'people' in Dhoni's above statements are not in any way related to the Indian team or management. Instead, it was claimed by the channel that Dhoni was referring to people in the media who keep making guesses about the legend's future. Earlier a PTI report had said that India's last match at the World Cup could well turn out to be MS Dhoni’s swan song in India colours. "You never know with MS Dhoni. But it is unlikely that he will continue to play for India after this World Cup. But since his decisions to quit captaincy from the three formats have been taken so suddenly, it is very difficult to predict at the moment," a senior BCCI official told PTI. However, India Today correspondents had confirmed these speculations as mere rumours without substance. Also, skipper Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri have long been ardent supporters of Dhoni and his teammates have also shown their support for the seniormost member of the ODI setup. https://www.indiatoday.in/sports/cricket-world-cup-2019/story/icc-cricket-world-cup-india-ms-dhoni-retirement-1563196-2019-07-05 WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL!? velu and asterix 1 1

The Realist Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 When Ishant Sharma jumps off the top floor of a skyscraper?
Bhaiyya Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Sure... You certainly need Thala's lunges to take it deep. India is indebted to him post 2015and will continue to have his magnanimous epiphany post 2023.
kosingh Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 At least he regularly shaves now to prevent his completely white beard from becoming apparent. That his white sideburns give it away is another matter. But give him credit for shaving. For this he deserves another 2 years at least.
Vijy Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 have this sinking (although illogical) feeling that he will play 2023 WC

rkt.india Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Reporters need to bring out his hypocrisy. He had the guts to drop Dravid, Ganguly, Sehwag but he does not have the same parameter for himself.
