I am happy with our performance in this series so far. This issue arises because we have or had too many condition specific players in our test match player pool ... like Ashwin, Jadeja, Umesh, Ishant, Rahane, Rohit, Dhawan. Even Pujara used to be one before his successful tour of Australia. No serious fan questions the place of Kohli, Bumrah. Shami, Kuldeep, current day Pujara after a few failures. Or questioned the inclusion of Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman, Srinath etc.if they failed a few times. This is because they are / were all-condition players. We need to move towards playing as many all-condition players as possible ... with maybe just one or two condition specific top bowlers. No point flogging our attack for 200 + overs continuously. That will take its toll. Should have batted two sessions and then put SA in.
