Why is Kedar Jadhav still playing for India and what does he offer?

Dont't understand the selection of Jadhav after 2019 world cup. Its not as if he will go onto play in the 2023, then why not try some young upcoming players in that spot?

Kedhar jadhav is the 6th bowler, also say watever he scores from ball 1 . Gill cant do that role. It ll be totally unfair to gill to make him bat at 5 and we also be left with 5 bowling options

He is just 34. If sachin can play till 39, then master kedar can manage at 37 or 38

He is preferred because he could bowl a few overs in the middle overs. Imo he is not the long term answer for our middle order troubles as he's already 34 & there's a big question mark over his fitness. The guy somehow converts 2 into 3, starts limping due to hamstring issue & gets out of the side for a few months.

Prob with sky is he doesnt bowl and has been reported for chucking as well

Kedar was picked because of his all round "ability" whatever that means. With Pandya back in action or if Dube improves his bowling, he will be slowly phased out. He maybe a street smart batsmen. But he is not getting any younger and we need more power hitting than street smartness

 

Edit: He has chronic hamstring issues. would cost a lot in running and fielding. His time is ticking

He is not an allrounder or whatever. He is a proper bat who contributed. It is Dube who is the weak link today.
