Gollum Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 In any other country apart from maybe RSA, Bichel would have played 250+ ODIs and retired as a great in that format. Too many high calibre Aussie players suffered because of the quality of that ATG team. There was a time when Australia-A was close to being second best white ball team in the world. sandsaims, nevada and Vijy 3

Stuart MacGill also suffered a similar fate. He had a 1 year window due to Warne's drug ban or else his opportunities would have been even more limited. The Hussey brothers and Brad Hodge also suffered in that era. The elder Hussey ended up with decent career stats despite the late start to his career but the younger one wasn't so lucky. Vijy 1
RajBan Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 Well we all know that Shardul sucks big-time. That may be reason enough to keep captain and manager happy. RAZPOR and adi B 2

They definitely can, Kohli's the one who's risk averse to the extent that he's completely given up on part timers! RAZPOR 1

Sean Bradley Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Shardul Thakur is a poor mans Azhar Mahmood, thats what he is, nothing more, nothing less. MCcricket 1
ganeshran Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Mumbai mafia might make him keep wickets too if that means a place in the side
ShoonyaSifar Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Bichel had 9 FC cricket in Shield Cricket at a time when Australia A used to comfortably beat top flight international teams. Let's not demean him by comparing him with Shardul who is at best a tullebaaz. diehardpacer 1
