Adi_91
I started following cricket from 2003 and I fail to understand what the hype about their phaasht bowling is all about. Link to comment
maniac
Yes I thought the same but now since a thread is published, I see a few bumps in the future Link to comment
SecondSlip
Jadeja would have been deadly on this pitch bowling last. Link to comment
adi B
No doubt about that ,when did India last let a team chase 225+? I dont remember any in the last couple of decade l Link to comment
Gollum
Absolutely, no doubt. India is one side that would have defended this for certain. Even Australians showed their vulnerability last Ashes. Edited August 8, 2020 by Gollum Link to comment
adi B
Pakistani bowlers are young and lack stamina from what I could see . They get flat by the 3rd spell of the day ,that's a massive difference between our Pacers, our lot have stamina till the EOD and Can bowl with the same intensity throughout the day saik, Mosher and Ankit_sharma03 3 Link to comment

zen
I am not sure. It is like implying that if Ind had played Eng in the WC final, it would have won. And in this way, Ind can win and defend just about anything Also citing past records can be pointless as even Pak has not lost many when defending 250+. There is a weakness in Indian sports where if something looks improbable, we can give up. When something looks improbable for the opponent (from our myopic PoV), we act strong. We do not often consider scenarios where we can create new records or push beyond existing norms. Which is why India in near future will not be great in sports in general (may need a cultural change) Edited August 8, 2020 by zen Sandeep99, GoldenSun and singhprakash72 1 2 Link to comment
Ankit_sharma03
To be fair to pak fast bowlers they are inexperineced and one of them is raw. Link to comment

singhprakash72
Had that been the case why would we loose 4-1 just 2 years ago(not defending, but letting English tail off the hook on so many occasions). I think the credit should go to Buttler & Woakes for counterattacking the Pak bowling. nevada 1 Link to comment

Also, our speciality to get opposition 150-6/7 only to let the tail wag and add another 150 runs is another dimension. But yeah, I think we would have defended 277 in England in these conditions. But given a target of 277 (which is very very unlikely considering our fragile batting), our bowlers would have defended it especially against this England side. Link to comment

I have my doubts about defending 277. We almost let Aus chase 315 in Adelaide last time around. I think they scored 290+ Link to comment
