would people watching on TV rather have an empty stadium experience aka Golf? this has been trialed in the English premier league and it works. Im not sure why people are complaining about fake noise overacting... the actual indian crowds in IPL matches are cringe and over excited anyway so whats the issue here.

Timing seemed way off, for example the huge screams of joy for a dribbler that barely reached mid wicket.  But the idea of piped in crowd noise is fine.  Just tune it up better to what's actually happening would be nice.

I watch on mute anyway, so I don’t care

Especially Gavaskar fake accesnt when he queues up with aus,NZ comentrator.Gavaskar is even more annoying than manju and Bhogle combined now a days.

Even I didn't find the noise too bad. Although there is a bit of lag, I'm sure they'll get better at it after a few more games. I would take this over empty eerie sounds of absent crowd.

So you don’t watch with mute on ? How do you survive manjukar and gavaskar

Gavaskar and his looong explanations of how both ABD and Kohli keep the bat in the right position while running between the wickets..so annoying. All the other commentators were understandably mute..:phehe:
