gakgupta Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 I am not saying that he is next Glenn....but very very good dearth bowler... I am referring to natarajan... Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk Adamant and New guy 2
ShoonyaSifar Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 After 2 matches? Will we back him when he goes for runs in a few matches? Let him perform well for at least 12-15 months before any judgment. He has the necessary tools to be a good LOI bowler. Upto the TM and coaching set up to groom him and improve him. nevada 1

Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk His ability to bowl yorkars will hold him in good state. If the team suggest him as a role for a first change bowler who bowls in the middle overs and death he is going to be successful and we need this kind of especially in t20 ,shami was never a great t20 bowler only in this ipl he has performed well so I would keep him out from t20is and experiment with these kind of bowlers. I think in t20 cricket we don't need extra pace bumrah is enough but we need players with specific skills. Adamant 1
Vickydev Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Quality option for t20s I believe, not so much for 50 overs. That cutter followed by the straight one to Maxwell was good skill and thinking. nevada 1
Gollum Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 (edited) Was impressive, should have gone for just 20 but misfields, overthrow, French cut..... As I said in the other thread reminds me of Fizz (rate him highly). They even look similar lol Edited December 4, 2020 by Gollum nevada, Vk1, Laaloo and 4 others 5 2
Serpico Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 he is new to international cricket, so he got that honeymoon period right now. Will be great if he can continue the form, we badly need a lefty pacer
Sandeep99 Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 I hope he develops variety and the ball that comes into the right handers. Will be really handy if he can do so. raki05, Adamant and nevada 3
Majestic Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Very handy in T20s. 1.Bumrah 2.Natarajan 3.Bhuvi 4.Chahal 5.Sundar/Jadeja 6.Pandya( he will bowl in big tournaments) Bowling looks solid IMO.
prudent_kreeda Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Better to make it 1.Bumrah 2.Natarajan 3.Bhuvi /Chahar 4.Chahal 5.Sundar/Jadeja 6.Pandya( he will bowl in big tournaments) Bhuvi is very dodgy these days . Hardly survives 3 straight games .
Ankit_sharma03 Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Happy with both Natrajan n chahar in t20
Real McCoy Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Early days (or early doors as Murali Kartik says ) for Natarajan. Its hard to judge. he shows a lot of promise but many a pacer have come and gone in our lineup. Hope this one stays fit enough to be in the reckoning. Also our kaptaan saab has the special skill set of dumping once someone has a few off days. I still can't come to terms with not picking Shami for the WC SF considering our sexting master fries kiwis in a pan. I mean he didn't even think of 3 mainline pacers for that juicy pitch. How dumb can one be. There is hope after all. Only hope can save talents under kohli. we have an abundance of raw batting talent and amazing bowlers coming up yet we still cannot put together a world beating team and lose to aussies in such a gruesome manner. raki05 1

But quicker surfaces may mean only one of them can play. We will have to see. Cricketics and Mosher 2

That final XI call shud be taken later and frankly one cane be horses for courses even
express bowling Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Natarajan is more suited to T20s than ODIs. He looks like a good T20 bowler. His defensive yorker is very good. ODIs require lots of hard length balls in the first 40 overs .. and that delivery looks average as of today. Let's see how he shapes up. speedheat, raki05, Mosher and 1 other 2 2

But quicker surfaces may mean only one of them can play. We will have to see. Bowlers who bowl only pace wont work in t20s. The pitches these days are oriented towards batting and the bigger bats with innovative bat manufacturing have made the conventional fast bowler a thing of the past. Bowlers need to vary their pace even if they are quick. There's a reason Starc has struggled and Hazelwood went for a few in his last overs to Jadeja. Bumrah and Cummins have the knack to mix in slower deliveries to keep the batsmen guessing. Its only these fast bowlers and the medium pacers with their knuckle deliveries will survive in the harsh environs of t20 and dare I say even ODI cricket. ODI cricket still values taking wickets at the front so a fast bowler with some swing like Boult will be useful

If fit, he can be good for all surfaces among new Indian bowlers as he has 1. A natural Left arm angle . 2. Best Control over Yorker . 3. Bowls well at Left handers at death - uses yorkers on stumps as well wide yorkers . 4. Has good slower balls . 5. Bowls decent slow cutters . He should further improve cutters , add bit of pace , bowl wide yorkers to RH batsmen Also needs a kaptaan who uses him well mostly towards middle & end overs . India should clearly have 2021 WC in mind and use Natrajan & Varun ( do not over expose him) for that tournament . tweaker 1
