who ate beef lmao.

Could be anyone. Beef is available in many Indian states, freely consumed in states like Bengal, Kerala. Even in BJP ruled ones like Goa, Assam. For elites no problem. Sufferers are always the middle and lower class people.

And this is our vice captain? Give me a ducking break

Rohit needs to be stripped of vice captaincy and sent back to India. The moment he arrives, lack of discipline ensues

you dont see this from the real leaders of the team - Rahane, Pujara, Ashwin and Bumrah

Almost the entire team was at Chadstone Shopping centre. They are allowed that. Only indoor dining is not allowed. Atrocious behaviour if they violated the protocol. No excuses.

I wonder if not for the twitter user uploading the video, how would such a breach get reported?

BTW during both the BBL matches, they showed the video. Conclusion from the Fox Crew was they will be asked to isolate, practice separately and allowed to play like the few BBL players earlier in December.

These guys would have come in contact with other team members as well :hmmm:

There are only handdful of cases in Aus. There is zero chance of them having any COVID contact. Also they did nit break any government rule. restaurants are allowed to serve indoors. Its a private clause between CA and BCCI about bot eating indoors which is being investigated

Unless it's a breach of protocol, no action should be taken... I have regularly gone out by taking all precautions and I am in India.. These guys are in Australia where there are hardly any cases

They are in a bio-bubble, it means they can’t go out and mingle among those who are not in the pod. Even common people like us follow a protocol, meet only those in a pod. We have made a pod of 4 families only and rest are closed for social visits. Pakistanis who broke it weere given a severe warning by MZ governmen.. What was the need to go out to eat? They can easily order food and eat in their bio- bubble.

They are NOT in a bio bubble. There is no bio bubble in Australia and New Zealand. They are 100% allowed to go out, mingle, eat out and shop. In Australia and New Zealand the protocols are - strict quarantine and once you are past the quarantine period, you can go out and mingle and eat and shop. This is also why crowd is allowed in the stadium. where they can touch the balls which go for 6. You are not even required to wear a mask in public

The reason there was such a hue and cry over Pakistan was they were breaking the rules DURING quarantine period and brought COVID from outside. Their biggest concern was players bringing COVID from outside into a mostly COVID free country. That is not the same as this issue

These players have not broken any Aus government regulation. They are allowed to eat even indoors by the government. What they might have broken, is an agreement between CA and BCCI that should eat only outdoors and not indoors because they will be traveling to a place which has more strict regulations. But even this is under investigation

ok, if not bio-bubble, if they were allowed to go with these restrictions, why are in isolation now? They could not indoors, if it facking rained, get the food in a facking doggy bag and eat it in your room, like most of us do now. They are practicing in isolation   now whichi means Rohit can only practice with Saini and CA provided net bowlers. Not with BUmrah. What an unnecessary thing to do before a major test match that India is expected to win and retain the NG trophy!

They are in isolation because there is an investigation over whether they have broken the agreement between CA and BCCI, which is standard procedure. I think the players were just used to going out for many days and didnt realize it would be such a big issue suddenly
