Popular Post The Realist
Has to be the meekest and weakest Ind middle order since oooh the 80s. Dot ball after dot ball, no intent to score, no cashing in on the bad balls, letting the bowlers bowl to plans and zero innovation. What exactly is the end game here? And to top it all, so so boring to watch. If Covid has not terminally damaged test cricket then having to watch these three bat will push it over the edge. . raki05, sandeep, adi B and 20 others 8 7 8 Link to comment
zen
Appears as if for many 5 days tests = 5 days of ODIs, where each session can also be like a T20 jf1gp_1 and Serpico 1 1 Link to comment
helperononline
Gavaskar was right we should play Gill in the middle order becoz Gill will play attacking cricket and keep the scoreboard ticking while Pujara Vihari and rahane play defensive cricket around him AuxiliA, saik and sandsaims 3 Link to comment
Trichromatic
Rohit, Gill, Rahane, Pant, even Vihari survived 30+ deliveries Link to comment
Trichromatic
Now Pujara goes, poor batting all over. Link to comment

Just promote pant/jadeja ahead of Vihari if we need momentum Edited January 9, 2021 by Serpico Khota 1 Link to comment

rtmohanlal
the thing with this set of batsmen is that it allows the bowlers to build in confidence & rhythm as the inns goes on. There is need of only 1 grinder batsman that too at one down.Rest should be stroke players like Gill. And there should be more or less equal mix of left right combination ... GolGappe
Few Indian batsmen in early 80' and 90's were labelled as strokeless wonders. Sidhu and Shastri come to mind. These 3 batted like strokeless blunders. Threw away such a promising start. Vihari is on pretty flicking thin ice right now. Lack of technique to survive against this type of bowling attack is one thing but lack of temperament as shown by his supersoft dismissals in Melbourne and Sydney tests is too hard to ignore. GolGappe
Complete amateur display. You would think coaching staff would have emphasized the need for cautious running between the wickets after that disastrous game changing run out in Adelaide but no India loves shooting itself in the foot. asterix
Given the situation, I’d prefer Mayank playing in the place of this Hanuman...Extremely Mediocre player at number 6 this Vihari is. AuxiliA, express bowling, raki05 and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment
Number
Limited players Without Kohli they fail to play positively in the middle order. Pant and Jadeja saved us at the MCG without them we were going nowhere in that test too. raki05 and express bowling 2 Link to comment
GautiMaan
What is this wearing down bowlers bs,they have 6 bowling options, and plenty of rest between games, you are not going to wear anyone down, score when you have the fking chance raki05, Frustrated, Yoda-esque and 6 others 2 7 Link to comment
Trichromatic
100 overs - even with slow batting they should have been within 50 runs of Aussies score. raki05 and asterix 2 Link to comment
