I think he can be a good batting all rounder. Dunno if he can be a wicket-taker like Ashwin and Jadeja. But he's very young and can get there.

He has certainly taken wickets, he's accurate, tall, gets good bounce, once he adds a few more tricks to his bag he will be deadly on turning tracks.

Him and Gill. Finds of the series.

Gill was always marked for success though.. almost everyone believed he is the next batting superstar. How many would have guessed Sundar could emerge in next big allrounder contention, that too in test cricket

I always believed in his batting as I had seen him u19. He was a proper opening batsman with good technique in u19 cricket. Also batted in MO in one days as Pant and Kishan opened. One more guy I want in India test team from that same u19 squad is Sarfaraz Khan. He was probably the best batsman in that squad, handling tricky conditions with aplomb.

The main thing that stands out is his ice cold temperament. He looks so calm in tough situation.

Plus he has so much time to play the quick bowlers. This is something which can't be taught.

His footwork is good, both on the front foot and off the backfoot. And he plays the ball under his eyes.

He seems to have all the shots in the book. We can groom him as a No.6.batter  ... He has the potential to be a 40+ average batsman in tests.

That he is left handed is a big plus.

Title says it all. Biggest find to come out of this series, a spin bowling alrounder. I would like to see how he bats at 6.

In India he certainly has the ingredients to play as a spin bowling all-rounder. I will like to give him similar opportunities as what Hardik has got as he can be effective on Indian pitches. Hardik however should be part of away series plans, I hope the team management does not discard one all rounder for the other. A pace bowling allrounder always helps in SENA. (Shardul effectively played this role in the last test)

Just a clarification with regards to Hardik. He should be under consideration only if he plays as a all-rounder, as a batsman he needs to be judged with other specialist.
