zen 11,222
SDP is a smart cricketer, who manages his work load well but the team needs the greatest Ind talent of this century to play even purely as a batsman. In Ind, he can avg 70+ with the bat Come on Ind, get the beast in PS already avgs 60+ w/ the bat in home like conditions Career averages Mat Runs HS Bat Av 100 Wkts BBI Bowl Av 5 Ct St Ave Diff filtered 4 249 108 62.25 1 4 2/31 29.75 0 4 0 32.50 Edited February 19 by zen Link to post

Jay 198
Love pandya. What's his first class stats? Doesn't he only average 30 odd with the bat and ball? I don't mind tbh. Give him a shot. Link to post

Usually, only to be considered if a player's potential has not been identified and he has also not been fast tracked Link to post

Ofcourse we need home bullies for asin conditions. Edited February 20 by Jay Link to post
coffee_rules 10,910
If he can bowl, he can replace Siraj who bowl a few overs anyway on a spin turner nevada and express bowling 2 Link to post

Gollum 25,844
Won't mind seeing SDP at #5, even playing as a pure batsman. Imagine what him and Pant will do to English spinners Banton and Cricspin 2 Link to post

Rahane don't make big runs but he has the clutch factor. If Pandya plays, Pant should bat above him at #5 6 hours ago, zen said: Ind's first class stats are overrated (a waste of time most of the time esp. if you look at the composition of many Ranji sides). not how it works. Good players distinguish themselves regardless of how weak/tough domestic competition is. Rohit Sharma the biggest HTB in this era was averaging nearly 60 in Ranjis when he debuted. Fawad Alam averages around 55 in Pakistani domestics. If Pandya has capacity to be 70 averaging HTB, we would have seen the signs for it Ranjis and A games. So far, he has batting avg of 30 in FC and 31 in tests, so the FC career predicted his capacity with the bat accurately Link to post
express bowling 42,981
Hardik has evolved as a batsman in the last 3 years. In this period, he hasn't played much FC cricket apart from some test matches sporadically. I don't think his FC batting average is a true reflection of his current batting ability. Link to post

Ankit_sharma03 22,450
In subcontinent he can play as batsman and this cud be a very attacking plan but overseas he needs to start bowling. At home him n pant can change the game from a loosing position and destroy these avg overseas spinners Adamant 1 Link to post
kubrickian 1,317
Pandya has fitness issues, seems to get injured often. Better stick to LOIs as of now. Also after Brisbane heroics, Shardul should also be an option for AR spot. Link to post
zen 11,222
Can’t keep such a great talent out ... If he played for Eng, he could win them the test. In Ind, he has to deal with the “system” Link to post

Bigg Brother 2,410
Have a feeling that he will play in place of Kuldeep in Pink ball test. He is the most exciting player to play for India after Bumrah in last few years, If not tests, Looking forward for t20 only for Pandya. Link to post
