Now that they have been picked, will they be thrown out after a couple of failures like Samson has been? Will Pant/Kishen play as specialist batsmen as KL Rahul was the preferred WK-batsman in LOIs? How has Axar Patel suddenly become good enough for LOIs? Will he be dropped like Rahul Chahar without giving him an opportunity? How is a 35 yr old Dhawan, after repeated failures in last 2-3 years, still the preferred opener? Lots of questions on the chosen squad. As we get closer to the T20 WC, totally expect this joke of a TM to again muddle up things like they did before the 2019 WC. BTW there preferred 11 will be Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli, Rahul, Iyer, Hardik, Sundar, , Bhuvi, Chahar, Chahal, Nattu

Because he is a threat to the collar chewing mental midget. Chahar gets into the squad, doesn't play a game, then gets dropped. This must be the third time this is happening. But Samson is also an excellent fielder and should have been picked. He, or any other batsman, has to be given 8-10 games to develop match changing level of batting. You can't expect rookies to come in and become match winners right away. raki05 1

He is way too inconsistent even in ipl. He don't have a single 500 run season even though he is playing full seasons since 8 years. I would rather see Ishan kishan and SKY in this series beetle 1

Lone Wolf Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 ODI squad should be selected after at least 3 T20s & performers should be picked. Gill as 3rd opener in ODIs sounds good. Rahul's spot would be under severe pressure with Pant & Kishan coming in.. He can keep that S/R doesn't matter crap to himself or otherwise. Iyer is on a thin ice but I reckon he has done very well in ODIs so don't know.
Nikola Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 Rahul, Surykumar, Hardik, Pant & Kishan should play all the five matches. Rotate with Kohli & Rohit as captain and you give proper chance to all batsman before t20 worldcup.
