Wicket hasnt eased out. Last 3 overs proved that. Ball spinning a lot. The bowlers are damm tired. Just imagine yourself standing under 38 degrees hot sun for 20 mins. Now think 6 hours under hot sun concentrating and bowling full tilt for these English bowlers.. kudos to them at least they could make a match of it till tea. If India get to 150 lead, it will psychologically kill the game, England wont make 150 in their 2nd innings.

I made the comment earlier, I wonder if Kohli missed a trick and not kept Rahane or himself later in the day to take advantage of this. Make no mistake India is carrying 3-4 top order batsmen that dont contribute anything with the bat.

I’d to lower the volume but then I miss out the crowd noise and stump chat. Somebody should fix a pin on his chair and prick him the moment he continues more than required. In Australia, with Foxtel (cable company) we used to be able select what commentary you can listen to. Like only commentary or just stump mic or just the crowd. I miss this feature. asterix 1
NameGoesHere Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Thats's the problem with meaningless critics - they can say any $hit. If the guy fails, they were right all along. If the guy succeeds, it was because he listened to their critique.

It has always been about serving his own interests. He has used and thrown players at will - Pujara, Rahane, Ashwin, even Shami (red hot form, benched from WC semis) have all suffered, grooming youngsters was least of his botheration. All he wanted was to amass as much power unto himself as he could. shami_123, SRT100 and sandeep 1 1 1

In Australia, Ashwin basically said the team is better off without Kohli. Not in those exact words, but he talked about how pleasant the team room was now. ShoonyaSifar and shami_123 1 1

That was clearly visible with Rohit, Pujara, Ashwin all involved in collective decision making and very proactive on the field. Under Kohli, when was the last time we saw him consulting even his VC Rahane?
cowboysfan Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 we definitely need 50 more runs.we are carrying 3 passengers in the middle order and they cant play spin anymore, chasing anything over 100 in the 4th inning will be a challenge.

Gollum Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 (edited) Hope Washi gets a 100, Axar 50, Ishant ka support and some big hits by miya bhai. Will be super fun if we keep them under the blazing sun for another session. Then we will seal the deal tomorrow itself, extinguish whatever fight is left in them in the morning session. Hottest part of the day is after 3.30-4 till 5.30 when temp goes upto 38-39 (will start touching 43-44 in the next10 days)

rageaddict Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 (edited) How much maximum England can score here in the third innings ? 250 ? The wicket is not anything unplayable yet and still would be a Day 3 Pitch. Plus England bat very deep. Edited March 5, 2021 by rageaddict

Well if they won't cross 200 then the lead of around 100 is enough. But a few folks think a lead of 150 is needed , means they also think England is capable of scoring 250 here.
