cowboysfan Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 If they are serious in winning the WTC and the test series then he should not play the IPL with his extensive injury history.pay him his IPL salary and put him on ice as he looks to have regained his form. sarchasm 1
Bigg Brother Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 BCCI doesn't own him, he is under franchise in IPL, Unless Bhuvi voluntarily pulls himself out, it isnt possible.
express bowling Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 It will be very risky to play Bhuvi in a test match as he has not played any / much FC cricket in the last 3 years. No one knows whether he is physically fit for a 5 day match. Mosher, New guy, Lone Wolf and 1 other 1 3
LordPrabhzy Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 When you have Bumrah, Ishant, Shami, Umesh ( Saini and Thakur as back up) why do you need Bhuvi who hasnt played a test match in a very long time. He'll break down again in the middle of the match. wanted_desi and express bowling 2

I think a genuine swing bowler can be a tremendous weapon in England and perhaps we don't have the attack to match the swing of Boult and Southee, but I think the lack of match fitness for the longer format makes him a high risk selection. express bowling 1
Clarke Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Hope Siraj or Thakur turn out as the ideal third bowler in Eng. Based on past record, don't wanna rely on Shami & Umesh.
Lone Wolf Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Nope If I had my way I'll play Ishant Bumrah & Siraj as three frontline pacers for WTC. Surely take bhuvi to England but don't play him instantly. I'd rather try him up in Practice games first.

Bhuvi in this form light be our most lethal bowler in England.he is swinging it both ways and his length is awesome. kirkutfan and sarchasm 1 1
Sandeep99 Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 As SRH fans, we won't accept it. ANyway Bhuvi should not start in the WTC final and I don't see any harm in him practicing for WT20. sarchasm 1
QuarantineTormentino Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Ideally BCCI should put a cap on the number of matches that our top test match players can feature in, and compensate the players and franchises fairly. This way, our top players will be protected against wear and tear and more uncapped players will get opportunities to shine nevada 1
ShoonyaSifar Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Was bowling the issue on our last tours to England and NZ? Bumrah, Shami, Ishant and Pandya did a fairly good job. Add Siraj and Prasidh into the mix and we have a very potent attack (I'd pick Siraj ahead of Shami). Bhuvi perhaps doesn't even make the squad unless he turns in strong bowling spells in the practice matches . Going back to him for tests will be a few steps backwards.

C’mon only 4-5 top players missing out on a small portion of the the ipl will hardly make a difference

Our bowling has never been an issue since the 2018 SA tour.. its been our batters which have let us down time and time again esp. in England where they are clueless against the swinging ball. putrevus 1
